Whoa, this became a MCW gold mine! What's the different between D41 and D43. I went with D41 and hope I chose wisely...

D41 is copper under nickel chrome satin, D43 is copper under nickel satin.

*like you, I went with D41 on my TC-101, i think the D43 has more of a yellowish hue/tone to it.

Check out my comment #34, D52 is Matte Black Boron. There is MCW 501 in D52, thin top line, double cut sole.

There is really only one black, and that is it (D52), the others are all blue; gun blue satin, mirror and matte. You can see all three blues up above; comment #42, #38 and #37

Gotcha, thanks! I've seen a raw black too, but I guess for MCW they only do black boron. This thread is a golfmine. Are the MC501 in black boron yours?

No the MC501 black boron are not mine, spent the morning scouring the japanese blogs, and it just sort of snowballed and ended up with hopefully most of the various finishes everyone was interested in...

Well count me as one appreciative of your efforts. I was wondering what a thin topline on a MC501 would look like...one thing I cant fault them on is the topline, thinner must be really thin. Needs offset help, and looks like +1mm is the limit to add to those.

What is the upcharge on D22? D23? And D43?

I think I am going to stick with my gut, and go with D43. But D22 is very tempting as well!

Curious what the upcharge is. Looks as though it may be no upcharge, but I find that hard to believe.

Can anyone tell me where you are ordering these irons from that will ship to Canada?

There are only two finishes that have an upcharge one them; D52 matte black boron is 4,000yen per head extra and D62 gun blue mirror is 4,000yen per head extra. So I guess roughly $40 per head.

D22 and D43 are similar, with the exception of the D43 having the copper underlay.

To those who have purchased Miura Craftsman World Custom IRONS, through Chris @ Tour Spec Golf, what was the turn around time? From the time you submitted your Order, until the time your IRONS were at your feet, on your door step?

 

Just curious what to anticipate.

I was told that EMS is not shipping right now to USA from Japan??? Has anyone who has recently ordered through one2one or another Miura Giken Japanese dealer, are experiencing shipment delays?

Miura just finished my MCW order through One2One, they said they can't ship right now due to EMS. I have asked them to look into alternative shipment methods, Fedex or DHL as they are still shipping. Read somewhere that EMS could be up a to a four month delay.

Just had something arrive last week from Japan via DHL, I think the value was marked at $279USD but I could be wrong/do not remember the exact amount and incurred around $43.XX CAD in duties/fees. I know for a fact if it was EMS I would have not been charged anything...I know its the nature of the business just giving those a heads up, you will get hit with duties if you go fedex/dhl/ups or any courier.
