Had the SIM for a few months now and it continually impresses me every round.

My only gripe is I wish I had gone for an 8* head

My 9* turned up to 9.75* in the upright setting is so good. The upright setting eliminated the leaky right shot. Now I just aim up the left and hit a butter cut. No lefts. Paired with the Accra tour z RPG 75g M5+, this thing is the longest driver I have ever hit

I am about 10 rounds in with mine. Really liking it so far.

Went from Ping G400 max (Ultra forgiving but I was spinning it too much) to a 10.5 SIM turned down completely to 8.5.

I've got a HZRDUS Yellow in it and I am enjoying the forgiveness from heel to toe. Its a very shallow head though and I've had to adapt to teeing it much lower than my old driver.

So far so good. I've got six rounds booked out of town next week so that will be a nice test.

Same here, about 10 rounds in with my 10.5 Max turned down one click to 9.75 and love it. Really with the Accra TZ6 shaft its so much easier and forgiving than my former ST190 Speeder TR 661 combo that I played last season. I have noticed as many have mentioned here that the Max does like a slightly lighter swing weight than other set ups I have used in years past as well. Playing mine D1 with the stock 15gram rear weight. I ordered a BBobs 19gram and that took the SW on my scale to D4 and felt good at home. At the range it was different story with a "hefty" feel that through my tempo out of whack so I switched back and all seemingly is better.

I think I found the holy grail combo for me. Sim Max 9*/Accra TZ5 M5/ProV1 left dash. Forgiveness + Low spin shaft/ball = mashed potatoes. On a GC quad, it spun 325-450 rpm less on average against a Bridgestone Tour B X, ProV 1x, and TP5X. It gave me 15-25 extra yards on the total. On course, I saw the same exact thing. At my home course, there is a par 5 where only a 350 yard drive gets to water. I am normally 40-50 yards away. With the left dash and sim combo, I am consistently only about 15-25 yards away from the water.

I traded my sim max 9 degree, which was really good, but slightly lower launching for me. I now have the regular 10.5* sim turned down one click. This gives me an anti left look with perfect trajectory. Sim has been great for me this year.

Oh I just noticed 2nd pic there. Thats close to where I'm at now.

I do play a lower cut with it teed there. Perhaps because my old driver was a pretty spinny balloon shot when I didnt strike it well this just seems like the perfect fit so far.

Its still a new club to me so I'm adjusting as I go. Happy with the club for sure though. Really impressed with the forgiveness heel to toe and I don't even have the MAX just the standard SIM.

Not been a fan of the sound of my sim max but I got used to it and now I don´t even recognize it anymore. Only thing I care now is the ball flight I see lol. I am getting to know it better. I do sometimes try to get more out of it but a powerhit with this is a recepy for a big slice or cut as is the modern description I understand. Dont gain distance from that :) It absolutely never produce something useful going for distance. That said I could see if I could just keep myself calm enough and not going for distance that I could get 18 holes frequently without lost balls from the tee lol. Since it´s just about impossible to draw or hook so get a lot of extra fairway to work with. Though I can get a straight left pull shot occasionally.

I had a 10.5 head at first it was nice but launched high and was a bit more draw based. I got the 8* head and I play it at 45 inches (Weight halfway from center to fade setting) in upright setting. It feels very solid and I don’t have that hard left ball. I hit one left but it was in the first cut. To me the most wonderful thing is now when I want to play a cut it starts straight and falls right. Taylormade has done an outstanding job with this driver.

@pdw
I was more-or-less responding to this comment.....I don't find the 10.5* overly draw bias.....I've hit pretty much required shots ; mostly straight...... but I'm now just hitting higher flight tiny draws ......

First night in leagues I crushed the sim10.5 in upright with tour ad di 6s hitting almost every fairway. This Monday I only hit one fairway and it was bad.

Last night I went to play 9 holes and had the g410 lst hulk, sim, and g400 rogue black 70 stiff. The g410lst beat both of the other 2 pretty easily. wondering if I need more weight on my sim.

I'm drawing the ball plenty with my 10.5, but that's my standard shot shape. It started more as a straight flight but as the season has worn on I've started drawing more. Hard to tell if it's the club or me, but seeing as how I've been dealing with a draw flight for 20+ years I'm leaning towards me. If you're swinging right this thing is amazing.
