Currently an 8 with a new baby, usually closer to 6.

PING G400 Max with the stock stiff Alta.

Trackman tells me that I’m leaving yards on the table but the amount of confidence I have with it motivates me to stay put. I’m not playing 7,000 yard courses. I might give the next PING driver a waggle.

9.4 - playing a TS2 with AD-DI 7s

Currently 9.5. TM M4, 12* turned up to 14*. Mitsubishi Diamana Red, 60g. SS high 80s, low 90s.

Took several shafts to fitting session in February and this was the one fitter thought best suited to my swing.

Sometimes switch to same shaft in 5.5 and turn down the loft to 9.5.

Best driving of my life, for sure.

Have to add an addendum to this...

I've been on a retro kick for the last 10 months or so. It's not just the persimmons and laminates, but also older drivers from the 90s. Last year, I put together a Zero Tolerance Crown Jewel driver head (260cc) I had lying around, and another Dynacraft 275cc driver head, played them both on the course. I have a J's Professional Weapon in the archives, that also saw some course time.

The latest wild thought.... I might reassemble one of my Dynacraft Grand Limited drivers, with one of the DGX shafts I still have lying around (or a Motore F1 85). The Grand Limited is a 250cc driver head, resembles the Great Big Bertha, made of 15-5 stainless, was produced in 8.5* and 10* lofts. Sounds like a cowbell when you hit it.

Could be a lot of fun.

6.4 hcp Just can't seem to quit my G400 Max 10.5* set to 9.5* with TPT 16 MKP MT SW @ 44.5" and D5. Not my longest driver but It hits fairways 80% of the time. Misses are small and always still in play. If I had to pick one driver for the rest of my golfing life this would be it. Sim Max with Ventus Black is 15-20 yards longer but just not as accurate.

I have 5 Ping K15s - each one with a different shaft. Currently the ProLaunch Platinum is the favorite shaft.. but the Ping TFC -419 from a G30 is also a Fav.

Also have a M6 Taylormade but it is struggling to keep up with the Ping.

These are fun, I’ve got a g400lst that I picked up from the wtb last week that I’m gonna be putting my favorite shaft, the Aldila Tour Blue 65tx in once it arrives. I have the 8* head cranked up to 9*

Playing a Cobra SZ with the Ventus black 60 stiff shaft. I've been very happy so far, but it is early in the season. Playing it at 44.5 inches.

You got that right, I demoed it extensively when it came out at the pro shop/range near my house, but I’ve never bought brand new clubs and may never buy brand new clubs. I just can’t justify the cost. But now that I can pick up a driver like the g400lst for ~200 bucks and my favorite shaft for 75-100 bucks, it’s a no brainer. I’m really looking forward to getting it built and testing it out

5.8 index. Switched to the Mizuno ST190G back in the fall. Nine degree head set at 8 5. Tensei Blue CK 70X at 45 inches. Weights set in draw configuration, though I still primarily hit a cut. It's been pretty impressive performance wise, and it looks and feels wonderful.
