Sometimes I mix in my tour issue Callaway Rogue SZ-V head (such a cool/rare head)...

 

I’m not sure the LTD Pro combo can be beat when centered. However, off center hits, especially high center and high toe suffer from too low of a spin rate. The Triple Diamond maintains playable low spin on high toe/high center hits.

Only taken the Mavrik and SZ on the course so far. For me personally Mavrik seems to be lower spin and a little bit faster. Dispersion has been a touch better on the SZ but I would equate that more to me having more time playing it. Since I am going to be working from home for the foreseeable future I am going to carve time out to truly test all of them against one another. I will report back with the results for anyone who cares haha

Its a toss up between the two. Haven't been able to hit balls outside here in Canada. No golf allowed yet due to Corona.

Last year played 8.5 degree 917D3 with Oban Kiyoshi Purple 65g 04 (stiff) but felt like I wanted/needed something with a little more weight and stiffness so picked up a HZRDUS Black 75g X. Worked well but still not as consistent and I would like to be. Decided to pick up a 8.5 degree TS2 head since I have an extra shaft laying around. Not sure the TS2 was the right pick-up for me, wish I would have picked up a TS3 head. Needless to say I am still tinkering around and hate it! My 15 degree 917 F2 has been my most consistent club over the last 6 months and very happy with how it performs. Have to get this driver thing figured out. Use to be the strongest/most consistent part of my game.

I am a 5.4 currently, ss is 112-118 and I play the Cobra SZ 9 deg (standard settings) and I just put in a small batch smoke yellow in it and gained 3+ mph in ball speed. It was just dumb luck as I wasn't fitted for the Cobra but I found a great deal online. Last year I played a fitted m5 with an aldila atx green fitted here by greengrass and loved it but the cobra is just way more forgiving

Callaway XR Speed (9º, NS setting) with the Oban white 63 gram 4-flex. Will probably regrip once my new irons arrive. (MCC4+ Align midsize now, want to go Dry-Tac Midsize)

110-112 swingspeed, 0-2º up, -2 to 0º in-out path. Getting me the lowest spin I could find when I got fit for them. Though I did change my swing quite a bit (I was -1º and out to in and 1-2º down). The flight is great, it is far, it does what I want.. Don't see any reason to change here.

Only have 2 rounds in with it, but so far so good with the Cobra Speedzone Xtreme 9* with a Diamana ZF 70 X.

Really liking the stability of the ZF shaft!

Nice to see all the others who play a 10.5. A lot of courses around me have doglegs you can cut if you go over the trees. a 10.5 get you over the trees. A 9 gets you IN the trees.

I am 70, in 4-5 index side of the category, trending downward. My driver is a TS2 - 9.5 with a Ventus 5 -Red-stiff, 4wd Ventus 7 -Red-stiff and irons are Titleist 620CB/MB with Steelfiber i110 & i125 stiff shafts. Still trust in a 17* T-MB 2i too, and stay under 6700yds.

Started a year hitting driver like a mid handicap, short game like a 2 or even better. Now hitting driver like a scratch, short game like high handicap. Playing same Cobra F9 with Oban Kiyoshi HB.

There’s a lot of kick in that shaft but it can bomb them on sweet spot strikes. It’s been a great, a tremendous combo for JP for a long time now....but...

Jack Pearsall really wantS a callaway mavrik 9* With a 6.0 or 6.5 px riptide in 60 or 65g. Not sure which is optimal. Thinking 6.0 60g, but either way, that combo felt like your first breast squeeze as a teenager. Whoa ?

Have been in a slump with it, but TS3 with Evenflow White Stiff. Lesson from our pro today and he said he thought it was perfect for me, I had just started a little bad habit. Hit it well after a little instruction. FWIW:
