Ok, I'll bite, but keep in mind I'm not a golf instructor. Looks like your right arm gets narrow quickly on the backswing - likely pulling your arms across the chest but not turning the torso. You're at P2 before the chest moves. On the downswing the lower and upper body move at the same time, which causes your lower body to stop turning and hands stall out and flip prior to impact.

Recommend searching for "Larry Cheung Golf Half Swing" on YouTube. He has multiple videos on the 9-to-3 move. Good luck!

well, you’re not really turning in the backswing. Even in a 9-3 I would still expect to see something very close to a 90 degree shoulder turn. After that, it would certainly appear to me that you have little or no pressure shift in your swing. You need to learn to shift your body and your pressure to the target beginning in the backswing. Check out some of the athletic motion golf weight & pressure stuff. Get way more left way earlier.

^^ thanks both

thats me TRYING to focus on turning shoulders early lol..going to keep working on that. As far as I understood Jim Hardy the chest and hips unwind together, no?

I made an immediate improvement last year by keeping my right foot flatter on the downswing, not raising my heel and keeping my weight more centred..I’ll have to mull that one over..

No 9 to 3 thread would be complete without this. Can't believe it took this long!

in any good swing you begin with your shoulders and hips roughly level, I know the right shoulder will be lower but just stay with me, roughly level and tilted forward to the ground. At the top of the swing the right hip and right shoulder should be higher and the left hip and shoulder should be lower, having worked down towards the ball. Then the positions reverse, at impact, or shortly thereafter, the right hip and shoulder will be lower, having worked down toward the ball, and the left hip and shoulder will be higher.

a drill I like to have students do is to put a club across your chest at shoulder height such that the shaft is running just underneath your collar bone and touching both shoulder sockets with the grip of the club to your left. Then take a set up posture. From there, turn So that the grip points down to the ball. Then (without unwinding) shift towards the target so you feel all your “weight” in your left foot. Then, without allowing your “weight” to go back to your right foot, turn and point the club head at the ball. This is roughly where you should be just after impact. Then point the club head at the target. This will give you a feel for the shift and pivot.

When you walk you're balanced on the leg that's extended. In the golf swing the same principle applies. As he steped to his right foot his right leg/knee extended and he was balanced on his right leg and hip.

Also, he didn't swing the club on the 9 to 3 static baseline. If you do that you'll be in a constant state of recovery from the get go.

I spend a lot of time swinging in a lounge similar to yours and you have to be careful it can mess you up coming into and post impact. It’s easy to end up with a slow armsy scoop of a swing. Those ceilings and sofas can sub consciously play on your mind. I managed to let is all go once and the club head battered into the ceiling. Luckily I tried to slow it down at the death and didn’t cause any damage.

I use a 60 degree wedge because I know it can’t touch the ceiling in the backswing and I put 3 cushions in front of the clubhead sometimes with a foam ball there sometimes not. You can swing a lot faster. As others have said that right arm is a problem too narrow too bent. If you have an alllignment stick while you are stuck indoors I would do the iteach drill where you brush it down your left leg. It pretty much fool proof for getting in a decent back swing position.
