Any idea how long or how many shots this would last? I bought the mat from All Turf Mats (the one that is very similar to the Real Feel CC Elite) a couple of years ago and it has been great for generally hitting into nets, backyard chipping, etc. But I got a Skytrak this winter and I'm getting really inconsistent readings; after playing with the lighting and other trouble shooting, I'm pretty convinced the fact that the mat gets poofy after a couple of shots in the same spot is causing deviations in where the monitor is reading the shot.

Long story short, I could get this and set it at the same height as my current mat and not have to break the bank on a full size fiberbuilt, but I don't want to spend $100 and it be worn down after a few hundred shots.

I have a couple questions.

It looks like there are two different types of Fiberbuilt turf, Fiberbuilt Grass vs Performance Turf, correct? What are the differences?Which products do people on here typically buy and recommend from Fiberbuilt?I see a Flight Deck with Adjustable Tee on Fiberbuilt's website for $99: https://fiberbuiltgolf.com/products/flight-deckIs this the same product listed on Amazon for $58.33: https://www.amazon.com/Fiberbuilt-Flight-Deck-Golf-Hitting/dp/B06Y5NX641This practice station appears to add a couple of additions: a ball holder, a rubber stance mat, and 2 alignment sticks. But it's $300 more!! Am I missing something here? https://fiberbuiltgolf.com/collections/traditional-mats/products/practice-station

This is what I have. Have had it for a year and no sign of wear. I hit 10-20 shots minimum everyday. 5' x 4' Single Hitting Performance Mat

if you have a mat already, all you need is 1-2 panel ( you need to talk to their sales rep for that). Or you can purchase this , which is slightly more expensive but you are set for 5-7 years at least since you those panels can be switched around to even out the wear. 3 Foot Fiberbuilt Grass Panel with 3 tee holes - On Course Green

i have to say, 1-2 years ago the exact same mat and panel were 50% cheaper but because of demand the prices have been jacked up quite a bit. But it’s worth it. I had CCE mat for a while and it really messed up my elbows.

The Perfect ReACTION golf mat is an excellent mat. It is as close to hitting off real turf that I have experienced compared to several other mats I have used at ranges or indoor practice/demo sites. It has a very soft feel with appropriate feedback on turf interaction for full swings as well as shorter pitch and chip shots. It does not strain wrists, forearms or elbows. Rubber tees are supplied, one for teeing the ball on, one in which any size tee can be used, and allows for a shorter tee to be used directly in the "turf". I have never used the Fiberbuilt mat mentioned several times above so I cannot compare those, but I can certainly highly recommend the Perfect ReACTION mat.

I ordered the FlightDeck from Amazon and it will be here tomorrow so I'll have to follow up and let you know, but it looks like the same product on their website. I'm a little concerned because it is so much cheaper on Amazon, but they're usually pretty good about returns.

I was a bit forced into trying a Fiberbuilt product though. I have the AllTurfMats 5x5 and have loved it, best feedback I've ever had from a mat, but since I got the Skytrak I am putting a ton more shots into it. The mat is holding up fine (other than the poofy issue I mentioned above), but yesterday I started feeling a really sharp pain in my upper forearm when hitting shots. I've read enough comments on forums like this where people talk about having to have surgeries due to excessive hitting off mats that I immediately stopped and ordered the FiberBuilt. Hopefully it's just a bit of golfer's elbow and I'm just being dramatic, but I've had that before and this is much higher and closer to elbow, so being cautious.

Right arm (presuming you are left handed), inside and toward the top? I suffer from this. First had it after some fat shots off of a horrible hard club range mat. It wasn't an immediate pain but became quite painful after several hour/next day. I had to rest it for a few weeks, then used a support strap for a few months. Now it's manageable but it does start to get sore if I play/practise intensively over a period. Should really see a physio but I don't want them to tell me not to play golf for months!

Hey guys upping this thread, sorry if there is a newer one out there (couldn’t find one)

I just got a fiberbuilt flight deck based on the comments in here and it is 100% the safest way to hit down through the ball that I’ve ever experienced off a mat. That being said the flight deck sits a full 2” above your feet. I’ve been choking down 2” to counteract that which is ok I guess for practice, but wondering if there is any cheap mat setup that I can use to get my stance elevated on the same level? I could build my own I suppose, or buy two cheap $120 mats and stack them.. curious if anyone has gone this route

I know there is the fiber built practice station ($499) that has the flight deck connected to a rubber hitting area, but all the reviews seem to state that it doesn’t solve the problem of the flight deck being too high!

Is this all a ploy by fiberbuilt to get us addicted to their hitting surface and offer no real solutions other than buying the cheapest actual mat model which is currently $750?
