From Byron. His base price in the DH89 is $500, unless his prices have been raised. I haven’t bought any custom putters from anyone for a while now. Some finishes like glass blast, or brushed, aren’t an extra cost. If you don’t need any elaborate stamping or extra handwork done it’s very possible to stay right at $500.

This is the buzzkill post. Go on eBay and get another center shaft Odyssey 2-ball putter with a line, plus a superstroke slim 3 grip. Then use most of the rest to get something nice for the wife so I do not get in trouble for the putter.

I would recommend getting an Edel putter. I love their fitting system. It makes a difference getting fitted.

I'd love to build a FCB or Ping ZB type putter that I could counterbalance.... 385 gram plus head, at 39 inches.

How do I get that for 500... I dunno.

Agree with the fitting part. Have also discovered it all starts with the feel of grip in the hands. So many option out there just for grips. However, when one just finds and feels the golden grip that matches them perfectly, SS Pistol GTR 1.0 for me, they instantly know it like no other and the hands become one with the club and its instant improvement. I’d buy a couple of my favorite grips first in fear of the model being discontinued then I’d spend the rest on tricking out and making my face balanced TM MySpider more fancy with custom touches. It fits me very well but the painted finish isn’t durable or fancy.
