New Titleist Driver in the works?

Yes, you definitely need to try the TS4. It looks great and is a low spin monster.

Yeah, it was on my radar when it was scheduled to come out. Honestly, I haven't hit many of the drivers that got released in the past 2 years... I'm going to have to rectify that soon.

I would like to see the TS3 at 440CC with similar design for the CG. I haven't tried the TS4 outside of the sim so I can't say much about it but I had the TS3 for a few weeks testing it and ended up back in my 915D3. I saw a bit more distance with the TS3 but not as consistent for in terms of dispersion, which isn't to say it was poor but my current gamer combo has been the best driver I've ever gamed and it's been going on 5 years now.

Why? According to the MyGolf$py CG test last year, the all titanium TS3 had one of the lowest CG results relative to the centerline while the carbon composite crowned TaylorMade M5 had the 2nd highest.

TS4 is best driver out there for anybody who says it's not forgiving really I dont know where you hit on the face of your drivers.

Personally I hope Titleist stays true to their recent approach of offering clubs for the better player and not necessarily caring about getting into the Callaway / Taylormade / Cobra fight over "17 yards longer". The TS line was a big jump forward that was needed but they didn't go overboard with it or the design. Just continue to evolve what they did with the TS lineup and they'll be fine.

I'm still using the 915 line because I haven't found anything over the last 5 years that can knock them out of the bag. I could pickup another 6-8 yards with another driver but I have so much confidence with it the feeling is basically "point and shoot" which is hard to give up. Same for the fairway wood and hybrid.

For being a smaller headed driver, it is very forgiving.

The TS line has been a great performer for me. I have pretty much used Titleist drivers since the 975D came out in the late 90's. I had the 915 prior to the TS2 and the TS line is longer and more forgiving once I found the right shaft combo. I will definitely try something new when it comes out but I may skip this series (like I did the 917) unless its significantly better.

Yeah thats a great point. I'm glad Titleist was able to establish that carbon is not necessary to get CG down that low. It makes sense really, crowns don't weigh that much so switching to a lighter material for something is already pretty light isn't going to make a huge difference. Nothing against carbon of course, I like what it does to the sound of woods.

Somewhat off topic but does anybody know if the aldila silver rogue 110 offered with Ts line is the 2nd gen or the old ones? The weights are pretty different between the first gen shaft and the 2nd. Need to know whether to order 60/70 gr

I keep coming back to Titleist drivers. Was gaming the 915D2, I tried the M6, G410, and TS2. The TS2 worked best for me, not far and away but overall best.

I really like my TS3, but I'd love a slightly larger 3 wood with a deeper face, kind of like the old "d" models of 3 woods.

When I initially tested all three heads on trackman the TS3/915 were very similar and the TS4 was spinning significantly less around 450rpm difference. I wasn't able to test the TS4 on course as nobody had a demo head available, however I did get a TS3 and gamed it for a few weeks. Despite the sim numbers being similar I certainly noticed the TS3 was longer by about 10-15 yards in some cases but struggled to draw it, not bad but certainly different than my gamer. Could be that I hadn't gotten used to it. It's interesting that I haven't switched, almost everybody I know who plays it says it's their favorite driver in recent years.

Thanks for the info, I was just trying to get an idea. I have the TS3 and my dispersion is a little off compares to previous gamers but I get a little extra out of it. Both I put down to less spin.

Funny story, I was a big 915 D4 guy and I waited (which was harder than it sounds:) to pull the trigger on a TS until the TS4 came out . When it finally did, a TS3 with a +4g weight cartridge came out on top. Spin numbers were almost identical between the 3 and the 4. I had my trusty old blue to test them both with (I LOVE that Titleist has had the same shaft adapter since they came out with it in 910) and TS3 was just better. I was perplexed to say the least because I'm your typical WRX high speed dinkus with a -.5º AoA and I live in that 2600 RPM zone as a target. With me always being a 440 cc guy - I've never owned a D2 version of everything - I thought TS4 was going to be a no-brainer, but you've really got to hit them head to head.

Hate to be that guy, but anyone know if they are going to drop the price on the existing TS line anytime soon? Getting tired of waiting and a price drop could convince me to go for the existing stuff.
