Stability vs. Stability Tour Putter Shafts

I am going to pull the trigger on 1 of these 2 shafts, and wanted to get some feedback on which shaft everyone likes better. Whichever one I choose will be go into a Toulon Austin putter. I have researched the original Stability shaft and a lot of positive feedback, but haven’t heard much about the Tour version. I know there is a difference in weight with Stability at 125 grams and Tour at 110 grams. Any experience, would love to hear it.

I don't think one is better than the other, as with all of golf. There is one that will be right *for you*. One thing with the OG tour is since it's heavier, when I got fit with it, it changed my path a little bit compared to lighter standard steel shafts (more in to out).

Appreciate the response. I was wondering about the weight and what it would effect as well. This is going in back up putter, as I wanted to re-shaft it anyways. Figured it was good a time as any to get it done.

The main difference between the two shafts is balance point. The Tour has a higher balance point to maintain head weight. The non-Tour has a lower balance point which will increase head feel or swing weight.

I started with the standard version but loved how the tour looked so I bought that. I was so used to the weight of the standard version that I hated how the tour felt. The tour is also not as stiff as the standard version too. That being said I went back to the standard version and haven’t look back.

Regardless of how you think it felt, the Tour version measures stiffer.

Pulled the trigger on the Stability Tour shaft, after research and some back and forth with Will Peoples. It will be paired with a Toulon Austin putter head, and Will shipped it yesterday. So I will post some feedback soon. Appreciate the feedback from you guys.

Regarding balance point, with the original stability shaft, would you need to counter swing weight with counter weights in the grip end of the putter? Has anyone dealt with trying to get a putter swing weight the same or close to the same as the standard shaft? Asking since mine is at Roger Dunn being installed as we speak, and I’m starting to get concerned about swing weight.

It’s a feel thing with putting. I would not get to into the counterweight ring until you try it as-is. Static weight increase can be just as harmful/helpful to your putting stroke as preferred balance point.
