Ive been clamoring for the t100s for a while now, but looking at mpf data, they seem awfully close to the 718cb

t100

AVCOG-0.796

MOI-14.7982

C-Dim-1.264

718 cb

AVCOG-0.817

MOI-14.4888

C-Dim-1.186

According to that, negligble differences..maybe t100 being ever so slightly friendlier.

offset specs are nearly identical.

for those that have both, does this seem accurate? How do toplines compare? Feel? Sole grind/turf interaction? Should i just save a bunch of money and pick up some 718 cbs?

There have been a few of these threads that try to say the T100 (or AP2) is the same forgiveness as CB, I personally do not think it’s true. The MPF is more of an ease of launch measurement than a true measurement of forgiveness on misfits. It’s definitely true the 718CB have the most tungsten of any CB range and thus the highest MOI, but that is not strictly forgiveness. T100 construction and its mass internally makes it more forgiving, by how much would be hard to say, but it’s noticeable. If you can hit them both and you’ll see immediately.

For what it's worth, I was able to get a hold of Titleist's factory and apparently they are now open at a limited capacity. They said they are estimating custom orders are taking 3-4 weeks to ship out. So I ended up getting in line, and placed an order for some T100's w/ TI X100's today! Hopefully it won't take over a month to get them...

Was able to look at both of these side by side today, and man they are almost identical. Blade length, profile, sole grind, offset- i couldnt tell a difference. The only thing i could see was the 718 had an ever so slighly thicker topline, but its not thick by any means! The t100 felt really nice on mishits, but kind of dead feeling when you flushed it. Think im gonna save me some chedda and get the 718cbs.

I like that Titliest has started over with the model names in the woods and irons. The incrementing number was long in the tooth.

the t100 looks nice. I’m more curious about the t100s as it probably gives you some nice gains without jumping to the t200 (which is a different animal)

Man, I really need to test these against against my 716 T-MB.

Can't imagine how good the T100-S would look after being bent 1* weak and even more offset crunched out.

That’s what I noticed as well, I think I had the wrong shaft in my first set and have ordered another but due to shutdown it’s in limbo. Been playing my 790’s in the meantime and have noticed the occasional bullet, which flies half a club further. I figured out it’s usually when I 3/4 a swing and absolutely pure it, it comes out on a flatter traj and hot. Causes me to go long, something the T100S wouldn’t do I hoped and seem to confirm the couple rounds I played them. I also noticed thin shots with T100 behaved better than my expectations which is the only miss you can really live with, so I liked that.

I went to a Titleist Thursday and hit about 150 balls on Trackman. The T100 is a great iron. I don't think there's anything more you could want if you're a better than average player and you produce decent speed.

I was open minded and tried other clubs as well.

I tried the T100s and didn't see a real benefit at all. If anything the launch came down with the same spin, and it wasn't any better for me.

I also tried the T200 and didn't care for them. After hitting a bunch of T100 shots first, the T200 looked like a utility club. Didn't like the turf interaction, and it wasn't for me. And I was surprised because I've hit the AP3 and found that to be a bomber and going into the testing I thought I'd like the T200 the best.

That's why you have to really test them out and see what the numbers tell you, and what gives you the confidence and feel you're looking for.

Agree entirely with this.

I'd decided it was time to replace a set of 716 T-MB's and was looking at T100-S bent 1* weak to match the loft and distance (on paper). Loved the launch, land angle, forgiveness and half-club extra distance of the T-MB's, but wanted something with just a touch more spin to regulate the shot slightly higher out the face.

After testing with Titleist though, there was no need for the T100-S. I could barely believe the Trackman numbers. We were using Pro V1x and the regular T100 head was so fast it kept up with the T-MB's for distance - despite the T100 being one degree weaker.

I was absolutely stunned how powerful the T100 flight is - while having a really good amount of spin at the same time.

Added to that the T100 looks so good behind the ball and was also really impressed with the feel. The AP2's never felt soft to me, but these feel superb.

The T100 are such a good all-round package, I still can't believe I've been able to keep all the good parts of the T-MB's, but in a better looking, better feeling and better spinning package.

I agree about your comment on feel. AP2s didn't feel bad, but I never really enjoyed the feel of them. However, the T100 feels great imo.

It seems right by the lofts to mix in a T200 or a T300 on the long iron side of the set...However, is it just me or are both of those crazy ugly! I cant even imagine a club in my bag with a tiny sewer cover, or trampoline visual!!! Hey #Titleist call me before going to market please. I am a designer by trade. Just sayin'. It matters

t200

t200 doesn't look bad, and actually pretty nice at address. The t300 is where it gets high tech looking. But there have been WAY funkier looking clubs that people have played for the performance.

@sir shanks a lot How long did it take to receive your sticks? I reached out to Titleist in the past week and they said custom sets are on 2-3 week build time right now. I was curious if that's how long yours took? Have you played with 'em yet?

Agreed, the T200 looks fine behind the ball. Not as nice as the T100 but you could have no genuine complaints. I would say that none of the line looks as good as what came before it when they are in the bag but when it comes to the playing position, the current line is much better.

Mixed set? You have options like t200, t300, t400, u500, u510, ts2 hybrid as alternatives to those clubs.
