Personally I didn't like the AMT shafts from a feel standpoint, and the numbers weren't anything to write home about.

Project X performed well, but I preferred the Project X LZ shaft. The feel is great and performance is solid.

I think you could play any well fit shaft in these heads.

@sir shanks a lot wow. That doesn't make me feel confident in getting my set anytime soon. I hope you get them asap. I've found that 3rd party companies don't keep order statuses as up-to-date as we all would like, so maybe you'll get a surprise delivery one day.@tim583 As for the shafts, I personally ordered PX 7.0's in mine. The LZ was in the demo club I tested last, and while it felt a little "smoother", it was also too "soft" for me. By that I mean it spun too much with the active middle that it has. My dispersion wasn't quite as good, and I had some trouble getting the feedback I like when I make contact. I've always played PX though, so I'll defer to others on the many shafts out there.

AMT Tour White S300.

I've played Dynamic Gold exclusively over the last 20 years with four fittings since 2013. It's not the absolute pick of the bunch in terms of feel at impact, but it just flat-out fits my delivery.

I tested pretty much every steel shaft available this time around and basically my strike was all over the place with everything apart from the AMT Tour White.

I've never liked the feel of Project X, the standard PX just feels heavy and like it has zero torque to me, while as someone else said, the Load Zone just felt soft and mushy at impact. Seeing all those steps in the shaft was kind of weird too though that's obviously less of a factor.

Have to say the feel of the C-Taper out the middle of the face is superb (and the step-less, satin finish looks cool for what that's worth), but in terms of consistency of strike nothing was close to the AMT Tour White.

I just went and tested T100 and T100S. I ended up with T100S with Project LZ 6.0. Shaft when swung 'effortlessly' was so smotth and the height and spin numbers were so good with the S set up vs T100 I had to go that route even though these are a bit hot for irons. Now the issue will be gapping my wedges. I have a feeling I will do what the lads did on TXG and make 6-P 1degree week to get into the wedge setup correctly. More later after use.....

I went with Project X LZ. I went into the fitting with an open mind. I previously had KBS Tour’s which I liked. The feel of them, for me, was much nicer that the original Project X that I had prior to that. I was keen to try the True Temper Dynamic Gold’s (it has been years since I had had them in a set of irons) and I also tried the AMT’s. Hated both of them. The feel to me was horrible so they were binned pretty quickly. The Project X in 6.0 felt so harsh compared to what I was used to. The LZ though, as soon as I hit it, I was sold. I hadn’t even really looked at them before the fitting, sort of dismissing the Project X as an iron shaft entirely but I was completely wrong. The numbers added to the feel made it a no brainier.

My fitter told me that he has had more guys using the T100’s into the LZ’s than everything else combined. That might just be fluke luck but I think there is something to certain shafts just working with certain clubs.

That's interesting. I had the exact same experience with the shafts. AMT were not for me. I currently play px 6.0s and they feel fine to me, but the px lz was just better feeling and performed just as well. KBS tour were also amazing feeling, but I felt like they could get away from me a little. px and px lz seemed to tighten the dispersion overall.

I know that Adam Scott started using the lz shaft and got a few wins. Not sure who all plays them but I think they've had some traction on tour, which says a lot about the quality of the shaft.

I have the T100's with X100's and still love them. I went through 5 sets of irons last year but have stayed with these since last September so I guess that's saying something.

I have KBS Tours in mine. Mostly because I had them in my previous set of irons. I didn't like the LZ's very much when I tried them in the T100's.

I would like to try $ Taper, but there weren't any available for fitting so I might look at putting together a one-off 7 iron once international freight opens up a bit more.

I am really impressed with them. Scott did go back and forth between the KBS Tour and the Project X LZ’s for a little while. I think he has settled back into the KBS Tour now to be fair. Looking at things now, the majority of my clubs, well driver and irons are Project X in some shape or form.

is it appropriate to add T100S iron comments in here?

I simply want to say that I bought a set of these (1st time ever owning Titleist irons) and they are absolutely phenomenal. I’m a low single digit, played for years, gamed tons of different sticks and these are something special. The amount of feel and forgiveness in the little heads (yes, the damn things are smaller than some blades I’ve gamed) is unreal. Totally enamored...

I got my 5-P set in March and have about 5-6 rounds and maybe double that in range sessions with them.

I made a big switch "back" into graphite shafts as I got tired of left elbow issues at times and was starting to feel the wear in my lead shoulder socket area after playing many steel-shafted sets since 2008 and only a few in graphite.

The Mitsubishi TiNi 105s are very strong in a S flex, but the feel of T100 is super nice thru the ball. I sure like the look at address and their soles really work well off this hard desert turf.

Played the first round with these and they were incredible. I think I had to light of shafts before and the AMT worked well for me. I had two shots where I was pretty sure they were going to hook as I felt the toe start to flip over but both shots went dead straight, I was amazed and I couldn't explain how that head stayed so stable through impact. I also think the sole of this iron is perfect for me. It really allows you to hit different shots. I am like ihahn, I have been looking for the right iron and I hope this is it.

I went with the standard T100. I prefer more traditional lofts and it sets up well with my wedges. I hit my 7 iron about 155 with this set although its been so windy lately distances have been hard to gauge. I hit 11 greens again yesterday so something is working with these irons. Still can't putt though. I see you are gaming 712 AP2. These irons will have more ball speed than those clubs.

@OwlPro Well l finally got the shipment tracking email from DD on Saturday. The new sticks will be here Thursday! That puts me right around 5 weeks from the time I ordered.
FWIW, I ordered mine with TI X100's. Not sure if that played a part in them taking so long to ship. I'll check back in a few days with a review

Really enjoying the T100S irons. If you like a small, blade like head, but don't want to pass on a good amount of forgiveness......this may be your set.

The heads are a bit intimidating, even as a low single cap. The feel is fantastic! Played my first round with them yesterday (74). I didn't play them flawlessly of course, as I need to learn their personality and to trust them. I think the small heads keep me focused though.

One last point - I have not yet noticed these irons going much further due to the stronger lofts. Personally, I think all that is happening here is that the stronger lofts are keeping spin a bit lower than the non S version. I can spin irons a bit more than I want to, so these seem to help me hold my lines.

I think it's a fairly forgiving club. Unless you miss the ball well off the toe (as it's a shorter length club head from toe to heel than some other clubs), it could be played happily by double digit handicap players.

Players could also consider a mixed bag, like having 7 - W T100s, and 4-5 T200, and 4 hybrid. The Titleist clubs mix and match fairly well, but if mixing a set the T100s might make more sense to relieve a potential distance gap.

I’d agree with you wholeheartedly on the heads looking a little intimidating. I have an old set of 714 CB’s in the house. They always looks brilliant. Having gotten used to the look of the T100’s when I took the CB out just to mess around the other day, the CB looked huge in comparison.

PX LZ 6.0 and they are great. If you want a more firm feel throughout the shaft and to knock a little spin off, PX 6.0 is great. It was my preferred shaft hitting these over KBS Tour and I didn't like any of the AMT shafts personally.
