I’m looking for a new shaft in my u65 and considering these steelfibers, but trying to figure out weight. In my 4 iron, so still need height. I have a high swing speed w/ ti x100’s. Thoughts if I should do 110 or 125?

have the gp ad 95x and feels loose and whippy. This shaft more stable?

110 Def feels more stable to me. I use the 125 in Wedges but those are all mainly 3/4 shots

I bought a Mizuno MP-H5 3i with an X100 in it. Too much shaft for me. Took apart my old Nike Vapor Fly 19* hybrid and installed the Diamana S+ 80 shaft in the 3i as an experiment.

First impressions: extremely smooth, easy to launch, but flight is pretty high. I’ve started building my own clubs so it’s fun to test drive different shafts.

Had an Aldila ATX Tour Green shaft in TX flex in it, but I overheated that one when removing the old adapter and it broke :(. While it lasted, that shaft was great, and only 40 bucks on the bay. Graphite is great in DI’s, just have to find the right profile for your swing to optimize launch conditions.

Curious has anyone got any more feedback on the Cobra SZ 4 iron? Shaft set up and performance? I hit the 5 iron in the fitting cart with the standard KBS 90 shaft and it felt pretty good and was a very strong ball flight. It seems @driveandputtmachine is having some great success with the Catalyst 100 shaft.

I am still playing the SZ 4 iron bent to 18* with a Catalyst 100 shaft in it. The 5 iron has a recoil 110 shaft in it, just like the rest of my irons. It is sitting at 23*. Yes I play 5* gaps in my longest irons, because at 1/4 inch length increments it gives me the gaping and one less club up top so I could go to 50, 54, 58, 62 on the bottom end. I didn't see the need to have my long irons bunched up, where I am just trying to hit the green, and need more options at the bottom for full swings on the firm greens I play.

To be honest, I ordered it with a KBS Tour V in it and it was great with it as well. I added some lead tape to the head until I got it where I wanted it after going graphite.

I have no problem playing it a bit back and and hitting a running draw, or mid to high draw or high fade. I have not figured out a consistent low fade with it yet, a mid fade is relatively easy as well.

I played a TM 18* UDI (original) for the longest time, and it isn't as versatile or forgiving as the SZ, the UDI was a tee only club for me.

I just built a MP 20 HMB 2 iron a few weeks ago. I couldn't be happier with how it performs for me. Mostly use it off the tee and its perfect for short par 4s.

I still have my 712U, just can’t see past it. I have taken out the KBS Tour steel shaft that I had in there and replaced it with a Tour AD-DI which has given it a new lease of life. If anyone was looking at getting a driving iron then I would definitely be saying to them to go graphite. Who doesn’t need a little extra speed when it comes to hitting a 2 or 3 iron.

I just put a TEE TI-utility into play this week and can't say enough good things about it. It is a 19* 3I and I am hitting it fantastically. Even though I am hitting it down the middle every time off the tee, getting good distance, and loving it. I am questioning whether or not to try a 17* 2i version of the club. I am scared that it may be a waste of money due to launch angle/lack of control with the lower loft actually ending up going shorter.

love the udi but it's limited to tee shots on tight courses and the (very rare) perfect lie. waiting for a 18* u65 to get delivered. hoping it's a little more forgiving off the deck.
