Looking for a thread with some insight on the ZX7. Curious what those who have hit it have to say about it. The TXG guys seemed to really like it, but they also seem to be trying to give the little guys some love this year, which is great, but trying to decipher what’s real. They pumped up the Mizuno, but that driver head looks unbelievably awful from the address position, from the pictures that are available online anyways.

Can't help you with the ZX7, but I can say that I hit the ZX5, TSi2, and G425 max and without getting into all the numbers, the Srixon and Titleist had on average the same ball speed which was more than the Ping.  For me, the ZX5 was just as forgiving as the other two.  I think Srixon has a winner with either one of their models.

Heard Srixon fade biased as well - is that true of the ZX5 ?  or just the ZX7

thanks

Both of these are great to hear. I know how beloved the TSi’s are right now so if this is in the same category hats off to Srixon. If the ZX7 is fade biased I’m very excited to test it out next week.

The fade bias does come from the extra weight placement in the 7 series, but to me the 7 sits very square and the 5 just a subtle hint of the toe sitting closed, nothing major.

Reviving an old thread...but I just won a contest for a Srixon ZX7 driver and fitting at club champion. Super excited for this.  I'm very familiar with the Srixon driver offerings as I've played the z785 driver since late 2018. Its a bit of a self fit, so I'm excited to see if I can find a better performer with a club champion fitting. Will provide an update over the weekend after the fit is complete.

Crazy I won as well! I have to travel to Omaha to get fitted but excited as I’ve never been fitted for a driver just tinkered myself!

I had a great time on Friday. Thanks to @Srixon / Cleveland Golf and @Club Champion

Some stats, I'm a player who lives in the 100-105 Swing Speed. I've been gaming the z785 driver since it was released (I think 2018) and we started with that.  My fitter, who is incredible, immediately knew we wouldn't do much better in ball speed. The z785 produces very good ball speeds when hit in the middle.  But driving accuracy is a big weakness of mine so we decided to focus on finding a more accurate setup with the ZX7. In the end we went with a 9.5 head, Ventus Blue 6s, GP Blue MCC grip, with the adapter in a slightly closed club face position using the adapter. We tightened up the dispersion during the fitting and lowed the spin a bit compared to the z785. I'm really excited to get this setup out on the course to see how it compares. The fitting bay is one thing, but proving it on the course is another. Will update after I've played a few rounds.

The look and feel of the ZX7 is very similar to the z785. I think both sound and look fantastic. I'll post some pics with both in my next update as well.

Curious what difference is between the two ZX7's driver's. And I'm a bit worried as a z785 driver owner that if I lose the weird adjustment tool I'm gonna have a really hard time tracking one down if they move to the standard, but even that is purely selfish and agree they should have been using the standard screw this entire time.

I added a new universal screw to my Z785 driver for that reason. That is all you have to do is take the screw out and insert any driver head screw . Doesn’t require you to change anything else.
