I'm in the same exact situation.  Might cancel if things don't change by next Wednesday.

Most likely your clubs have been picked and assembly has started. That is what happened to my order. One day the date disappeared. The next day status changed to picked/assembly. A couple days later it was shipped. I placed my order on 6/11 and I received my Gen 3 irons today. It shipped ground and I’m in Florida so it took 5 days to get here.

Ordered Gen2 irons on 6/15, and I'll receive them on 7/15 from Discount Dan's.  Without DD in the middle, it would have been just about 3 weeks.  Not bad at all in the current times.

Received my Gen2 irons order, and it arrived messed up.   I don’t know exactly how they sequence their shaft installations, but essentially, the shaft for my PW ended up in my GW, and vice versa.

Now, dealing with the hassle of trying to explain this to PXG who for some reason isn’t quite grasping exactly what happened (they just want me to cut down the longer GW shaft, but the PW shaft is still 1/4” shorter than standard length).  I really think quality control is suffering at the OEM’s with these delays and the demand.

This is my set from 5 iron down to GW.  Check your orders, folks.

so it's about a month for Gen2 iron orders at the moment?

I'd say closer to 3 weeks direct from PXG.  When DD is the middle-man like in my case, it was about 4 weeks.

Interesting DD took your order.  I tried ordering PXG through them and they said they wouldn’t take anymore orders, that PxG was 100% DTC now.
that was a few months ago

LOL....Those look 50x better than mine...mine were all different -  The 7i was longer than the 5i; the PW and the 8i were the same length, both wrong from the standard.

Not positive, but I thought only the 0211 DC irons were DTC.  In any case, no issues ordering the Gen2 irons with DD.

They claim on their site the gen 4s are built 1 day from received order.  Any truth to that?  I got all gen 3s(sounds like i'll be waiting a while), but just curious.

My 4th gen driver went out within a day. My 2nd gen irons that I ordered on 7/5, still don’t show in production.

Well that is unfortunate. I did see from other people posting, the updates are not done accurately.  You might see it go straight to shipment.

I have only been waiting a week, so i can't imagine how you're feeling.   At least you got the driver.  Kaboom Baby!

If any part of the order is 4th gen, it bumps the whole order to the front. I wish I would have ordered together, ha. Driver, wedges and hybrid came in today. They look great.

Looks like they're staying pretty consistent with the turnaround times on the Gen2 stuff.  I ordered my iron set through DD on 7/3 but with that being a weekend with a holiday, PXG ended up showing my order date as 7/8.  They were just shipped today (7/23) and the FedEx tracking is projecting DD to receive them on 7/28.  So factor in another few days to get to me and it'll likely end up being right around the 4 week mark.  Seems like the common lead time has been ~3 weeks direct from PXG or ~4 weeks through DD and obviously that still appears to be the case.

I ordered my gen 2 irons on 7/5. It forecasted 7/19 for production, but that date disappeared. I called Wednesday and they said it was because the Gap wedge was on back order until mid August. They said they could ship it separate if I wanted and move the order to production. I agreed and my irons shipped yesterday. (7/22)

I had a friend who ordered a few days after me so I warned him about the gap wedge issue. He called and they told him they weren’t on back order. Not sure what’s up with that… But, wanted to share in case anyone else ran into that issue as well.

That's interesting.  I'm not expert in logistics by any stretch but how can a previous generation product that they're apparently just trying to clear out end up backordered?  I always thought "backordered" meant that they they're waiting for more product to come in so that they can turn around provide it to the customer.  I'm sure there's more to it than I realize but I was thinking that it's just a matter of them having so much stock of the Gen2 stuff and when it's gone it's gone.

I thought the same thing. Weird… I wouldn’t be surprised if the gap wedge is in the box when the irons arrive.

The Gen2 iron situation is a bit odd.  I am virtually certain that they were essentially out of stock for awhile.  Now, at least with the P, you can order 5-GW no issue.  They either already had plans to build more of these, or they decided to build more of these on the fly.  Either way, for an iron set two generations old now, they are pretty available to a strange extent, and obviously an incredible price at $89 per iron.
