Now, dealing with the hassle of trying to explain this to PXG who for some reason isn’t quite grasping exactly what happened (they just want me to cut down the longer GW shaft, but the PW shaft is still 1/4” shorter than standard length).  I really think quality control is suffering at the OEM’s with these delays and the demand.

 

This is my set from 5 iron down to GW.  Check your orders, folks.

The PW and GW are on their way back to PXG to hopefully get fixed properly. Hard to believe they made it out of the shop like that, but is what it is.  They were responsive in setting up the return and fix.  We shall see what I get back.

anyone order any gen 3 P irons recently? curious how long the process if for those.

2-3 weeks. Just a little longer than it typically takes PXG. Still much quicker than any other manufacturer. They always prioritize assembly of their newest line (Gen 4) now. 
 

Edit: That was 2 months ago and everything is very fluid right now.

I placed my order of 0311T Gen2 5-W on 8/29.  Shipped yesterday. The email showed "order received" status for over a week, then moved to picked/in assembly for a day, then to "shipped".  I've got the tracking number, showing delivery date of Monday the 13th.   So if they are delivered when expected, it'll be 2 weeks from order to delivery.  Hoping it holds up.  I've had my eye on the PXG's since I learned about the "hero pricing" (don't like the term "hero") but oh well.  Finally pulled the trigger.  Switching from Srixon785's.

Ordered some more G4 ST irons for range use...went in on Saturday, 9/4......

Shipped Tuesday, 9/7 day after a Sunday and Monday holiday!

Amazing.

Update:  Order delivered today.  FedEx caused a 2 day delay.  So in total 17 days from order placement, to delivery.  I'll take that over some of the other manufacturers giving 10 week lead times on orders.

placed my order for Gen 3 irons on Tuesday 9/14 afternoon and got a shipping notice yesterday 9/19.  Crazy fast.

well.. I am not so lucky.. placed order for a driver and 3w on 8/30 through DD.. got email confirmation that order was placed next morning.. didn't get PXG's confirmation until 9/3.. then nothing until I inquired on 9/10 and was told that shafts were on backorder.. then got an email clubs were shipped out on 13th, expected to arrive at DD on 16th.. now it's 20th and it is still in transit to DD. Rescheduled delivery date is today (20th) but it's not showing to be out for delivery even though it arrived in Portand OR on 9/18. 

It'll be at least another week before this makes its way to me so we are looking at a month at best.

Curious why you didn't just order directly from PXG?      Oh, just remembered about no sales tax, etc thru DD.

yeah.. it does make quite a difference. Good thing I am in no particular rush.. but the delays is pretty annoying. It's definitely of no fault of DD.
