M85 4 wood restoration by David Bass

I wanted to share some photos of my M85 4 wood restoration done by David Bass in North Carolina. I regret to have not taken any before pictures, but here are the after photos. David replaced the old beat up shaft. He reset the sole plate and insert. Then put a beautiful stain on it with some red score lines. I highly recommend David. His prices were fair and he completed the restoration in about two months. Very communicative throughout the entire process.

David bass has a price list he’ll send via email. I had am m85 driver, a single m75 3 wood plus a set of m75’s done last year. I Shipped another box of woods to him 3 weeks ago. Very reasonable and excellent work.

I was most impressed with how smooth the screws and the bore-through turned out on the sole.

David now has a section on his website highlighting his restoration work.  Here's the link and there's a price list as well.  I just sent him my second wood to be restored.  It's a Jimmy Demaret Pace-Maker that I'm pairing with an old x100 I found on ebay.  Can't wait to put it in play when he's done.

Looking forward to seeing the finished product!   Please do share photos when done.  I’m having a couple drivers made by david out of some new Cleveland  persimmon blocks.  He is starting that work next week.

Where did you find Cleveland blocks?  Do you have pictures?

A fellow in our persimmon golf society forum on Facebook was selling them earlier this year and I picked up a couple.  
david bass made this one up for another member.    This was my inspiration!  Looks sweet

Much better looking and less likely to crack
