Mizuno Iron order lead time

I was between the forged and MP20 MMC. In the end the fitter went with the forged due to my swing. I am a divot taker and he thought the forged would suit me best. I am not concerned with distance I was all about feel and consistently with off center hits. But I am sure I will mostly be hitting the center.

I ordered 5 weeks and 6 days ago and my 921 Forged set is arriving today.

So just found out today that now my KBS $taper stiff is on backorder. Had to switch to the x flex  and had them soft stepped to get the clubs built. So the final flex should be stiff .75.  12weeks 4days still not even built. These better be worth it because this is a huge pain in the butt. Heads were on backorder they come in and now the shaft. 

They don't expect the $taper stiff to back in stock until June sometime. So if anyone else has those shafts and want clubs before June reach out to your fitter.

Cleaning kits??? Never heard of that. Get yourself a golf brush and some warm soapy water. 

I usually like to treat my forged to some Mothers Mag Aluminum polish....But none of that comes with the irons

Ordered 921 HMP on 3/30 through TGW, order entered by Mizuno 4/5. Called today 5/11 and was informed

materials were pulled and clubs should ship out by end of the week. Roughly 6 weeks

Ordered 921 HM irons with NS Pro modus 105 Shafts on April 8. Now telling me shafts on back order until June 8. Will be more than  2 months until I get my long awaited irons

Jpx921 Irons I have $taper 130 had them soft stepped. While I like the shaft I do feel I might be loosing a couple yards? I was fit into the $taper 120 but due to back order issues I was talked into soft stepped $taper130.

If I didn't switch I would still be waiting for my clubs.  They gave me a delivery in mid June. Ordered the irons in February I already waited 14weeks for what I got now 

Maybe I just got to get used to the heavier weight.  Gonna have to go with it now. Not sure if Mizuno will change out the shaft for me??

Ordered JPX921 Tours w/ Modus 120X on 4/28. Luckily the fitter called after placing order to tell me midsize Z-grips weren't available and they offered to build up regular size grips so went with that. Sucks but oh well. Tomorrow is 5 weeks and will give them a call since that was the delay they mentioned when ordering.

It sucks when we pay premium $$ for these items and have to modify them just to get them. But it is what it is it is happening with every golf manufacturer. Still wait for my ping g425 driver, 5wood,7wood..........

Ordered some T-20 wedges a week ago, yall think the lead times will be similar for wedges? I see grips can be a hang up for order times, so I ordered just GP Tour Velvet Cord, they're building them up with tape. 

 

Hopefully come by July some point. I'll try to update with my experience on timing later on, if anyone has recent wedge experience let me know!

I ordered 2 custom T20 wedges and a set of custom JPX921 Forged irons on April 24th and still no word. I also ordered a custom TaylorMade Sim2 driver, 3 wood and 5 wood on the same date and the last wood showed up today. All of my TMs and Mizunos were ordered with Project X brand shafts and identical GP grips, so it can't be blamed on shaft/grip shortage unless those manufacturers just favor TM over Mizuno. Clearly, Mizuno is just manufacturing at a slower rate than TM. Hopefully they show up soon because I'd like to use them before the next model comes out.

Bummer deal there on the wait time. I was quite close to picking up the JPX921 Forged, they're a great iron. For irons I'll be waiting on Titleist this summer, we'll see who delivers sooner Mizuno or Titleist, likewise here same shafts in both and pretty stock grip options so just comes down to manufacturer. 

I've got my expectations low and plan to be waiting a while. Hoping that I'm eventually just pleasantly surprised to get them before August or something. 

 

I did order through Global Golf, I've seen that who you order through can drive lags too. Love my local shops but have found that they seem to come through slower.

Just got the information from my fitter that the irons arrived yesterday, exactly 4 weeks after ordering. Really surprised as I expected further delays..

Yea my T20 wedges were about 7 weeks, ordered 5/31 and received 7/17

Ordered MP20 w/$tapers on 5/24, quoted 5-6 weeks, now told early Aug.  Said they're waiting on shafts not heads though...

Thankfully the exact spec i wanted came on Ebay so i cancelled the order
