1) does anyone know the total weight of the head?

2) does anyone know the weights of each weight on the bottom?

If you screw the weights out they say what they are, unlabeled/unfilled ones should be 2.5g.

I think the heads used to ship with a 15g heavy weight, the others being 2.5g. Now the heavy weight is 12.5g, at least in the 0811X+ Proto I just received. I haven't weighed the head with or without the weights. Sorry.

My Proto X+ head is as follows:

 

Current setup:

 

Total weight is 200g with 22.5g of weights, or head alone is 177.5

 

That was the stock setup from PXG as well.  My shaft is 57g

They sent me a 10 gram weight which got me to where I neede sir to be. Still fiddling with loft and weight set up. But the driver is great. Once I'm playing a bit more regularly this thing will be solid.

Huge fan of the 0811x+, picked it up in 12 degree's and it's the ultimately fairway finder, also have the Gen 4 in the XF version and as accurate as that driver is I find the proto longer and even straighter.  Can't imagine improving on this driver.

I agree, I game the 10.5 Proto+ turned down to 9.5 and absolutely has beat everything in consistency and FWIR. Not the longest but definitely the perfect blend of accuracy and good enough length.  If you want more ball speed and less spin, the Gen4X is king in the range IMHO.

I’m thinking about picking up a 0812 x+ in 12 degree.  I’m also thinking about going 1/2 or 3/4 inch shorter shaft in regular flex. What shaft did you go with?

I have dozen PXG tipped shafts in the garage, right now I have a Helium 5 in it at 45"

Only a dozen??  And why are they in the garage!  Haha - it is funny how we do the same things with clubs.  You build up a bunch of spare parts and then move them with you to the next great club 🙂  I think I need to retire so I can play more golf and spend less time messing around with my equipment.

Does anyone know what the adapter does to the raw shaft length on a driver shaft??

I just measured an adapter.

 

Insertion depth = 1.25"

Adapter length= 1.6"

Below insertion = 0.35"

Length from top of adapter ferrule to bottom of club = 3"

Length from bottom of adapter to bottom of club = 1.4"

 

Hope that gives you what you needed.

So I got a shaft that they said was 46 Inches in raw length, popped it into a. Adapter.. the clubs playing like 44 Inches??? I don’t see how this is possible. I think I shoulda measured the shaft before I put it in the adapter lol

The unfortunate thing is some people are scumbags and hide stuff so they can make a sale.  Sorry to hear that.  The one option you can try is to add a butt extension to get you to where you want to be - maybe it is the universe giving you a nudge to try a shorter driver length - the pros play 44.5 ish 🙂

You can still measure it down to the bottom of the tip where it narrows or just have the tip removed and measure it to find true length.
