BB45 vs M Craft Type III

I currently play a RIFE Barbados that's been in my bag for about 6 years. I tried a Scotty Futura X5 after getting it at Golfsmith clearance a couple of years ago...sold it after 2 weeks.

I'm a Mizuno fan which makes me intrigued with the Type III. I'm a SBST putter, so face-balanced is a must.

I like a heavier putter, so the changeable weights on the Type III seems like a good idea.

Having said that, I hear Bettinardi always makes quality products. I also like that it comes with a "jumbo" grip as I use a claw grip and have a SuperStroke 2.0 on my RIFE.

Thoughts? Experiences? TAI

I play the BB45 with the smaller grip. Super soft face. They shrank the footprint from predecessor BB mallet. It’s not as point and shoot as say a Scotty X5 or other bigger SBST face balanced putter....but makes up for that with increased feel on speed control IMO.

I bought a M-Craft III putter a couple months ago. I immediately ordered the jumbo Bettinardi Studio Stock putter grip to put on it. I think the Betti jumbo is the best putter grip I've ever held.

I love the M-Craft III. I have played multiple rounds with each of the three weight sets installed and I like the stock 8gm weights the best.

The only issue I have with the putter is glare from the sun when playing mid-day. Thing is blinding. I need to figure out how to re-finish or coat it or something. Glare won't get it out of the bag yet tho.

White satin (looks silver to me). I would have purchased the black ion had it been available, but it wasn't when/where I was buying.

I have a blue M Craft III, I love it. But my only concern, is on long puts on slower greens, I can feel a flex in the shaft. Is this because it's not a plumber's neck? Is the curved flow shaft less stable when taking a big swing?

@Kloppo , would you say glare from the sun is an issue with the blue version?

@OlleEriksson I did not notice it at all with the blue. It's really sharp looking. But as I stated in the III I really did not like the hozel. I had a II for a minute but I'm a mallet guy. Having crazy success with Odyssey 7s stroke lab. So stable and stout, Important for the slow greens I play. Also bought triple track decals and use a ball marker and make my own triple track lines and I'm making so many more putts.

Cool! Thanks. Odyssey's #7 is not for me, I need a mid-mallet or even something like the blade Phil Mickelson is playing. I wasn't crazy for the M Craft III when I first saw it, it felt a bit large, but having tried it on multiple occasions in the shop it seems to be so easy to aim, and light weight. If I get it, I think I might play around with creating a little toe hang by putting one of the heavier weights at the toe and see how that feels. We'll see. But thanks.
