I don’t particularly notice that. If you look at the dimensions, the height is 34.75”, which is very similar the the heights of the other Vessel bags and bags from other OEMs.

I have 13 and my putter is a SS Slim 2. I wouldn’t say it’s roomy, but it’s not bad. If something doesn’t go all the way down, a quick tap when it’s on my shoulders takes care of it.

Post round review: It carries very nicely and weight balances super well with the double strap. Complaint would be the legs do hang down a bit, I really only notice it in my shadow but I do think it ought to be tighter. Like the magnetic pocket, need to experiment more using that for my rangefinder. I’m used to grabbing it with my right hand as I pull the bag off my shoulder.

i've used my VLX for about 10 walking rounds already. i came from a jones utility trooper. been using the jones utility trooper for a couple years now. functionally i loved the jones bag but it was just a bit bulky and not quite as sexy looking as the vessel.

id say overall the VLX is an adequate carry bag. its more form over function for me especially when compared to the jones utility trooper.

i feel the VLX isnt quite optimal for right arm carry since the water pocket ends up being on the inside when carried on the right arm. and the longer 33oz water bottles tend to have hard time staying in the pocket once youre about halfway through the bottle. wouldve been more ideal to move the water pocket to the other side for right arm carry like the jones bags.

also the towel clip isnt really locked into place so ive had it fall off once on the previous green and had to run back to get it when i noticed my speakers were missing.

having the full length dividers is awesome but it is tight with just the 4 way opening for 14 clubs and alignment sticks. had a lot of club tangle when i included my alignment sticks so now i just leave them out when i walk a round. i also recently changed to a 3 wedge setup instead of 4 so i just carry 13 clubs and i noticed a lot less club tangle this way. i think the big problem is trying to fit a driver, 3w, 3h and putter in the top opening. often times struggle getting the putter in and out cleanly. i am going to try putting my 3h with my long irons and see how that works.

weight, balance and carry wise it feels fine.

kind of wish there would a couple more exterior pockets though, or maybe if they had changed one of the full length pockets to 2 smaller pockets.

also wish there were more straps on the outside to clip items.

i now just carry my range finder in the magnetic pocket and it works great.

i probably give this bag a 7/10. i get compliments or questions about the VLX pretty much every round though. score one for form over function!

How do you feel the bag tangle will be if you have 4 woods and a dual balance putter?  Carrying a full 14 clubs.  Thank you.

I've currently got the Utility Trouper, and looking to make the move over to the VLX stand as well.  The listed weight of each is within 0.5 lbs, but which one carried a little lighter, in your opinion?

anything over 13 clubs is rough. i ended up taking out 1 of my 4 wedges and i still get quite a bit of tangle. some days i dont even take my driver and just take 12 clubs and it still get more tangle that you'd expect. the most you can fit in the top well is probably 3 woods and a putter. but you will get tangle in the 3 other compartments. im usually struggling toe get the clubs back into the 3 other compartments. eventually as i walk they settle in.

i did receive my double strap a couple weeks ago and i prefer it with the double strap now. makes accessing my water bottle easier.

i did ultimate find the valuables pocket by accident that is zippered and includes a lock.

the VLX carries lighter without a doubt and has a smaller footprint than the utility trouper. trouper is definitely bulkier and never got any club tangle. now that ive used my VLX longer, i dont miss my utility trouper as much. i guess i just miss the putter well. i gave my trouper to my wife.

Just got my white VLX in today. Quality on this bag is great/typical Vessel. I was able to fit my full set of 14 clubs plus alignment sticks — fit is tight but that was expected with a 7x7 top. Will hopefully be able to take it out on the course soon to see how it performs.

How did the white hold up over the summer? Does it stay bright and clean? Do you need to put any extra protectant spray on it or anything?

The bag honestly looks pretty much brand new still. The material itself is very easy to clean, and I did not use any protectants on it
