Callaway C4? Apparently taught the company how to work with carbon composite but the club itself was a laughing stock from memory.

You probably had an ill-fitted shaft in your R-11. That club isn't awful.

Titleist 907 D2 with a GD YS 6 in it. I was hitting my 3 wood 20 yards past that piece of crap. I took 5 years off the game after college and that was the first driver I bought online. If I were to guess I think I had 5,000-6,000 rpm’s on that piece of garbage. It was supposed to be a 9.5 but it looked like a 12* driver. I couldn’t get rid of that piece of crap fast enough.

Callaway GBBII - the head shape, the colour, the awful Callaway shaft. It was a horrendous club. I was beyond glad that it was just a loan that I had it on whilst my gamer was getting reshafted. Don’t think that I hit another Callaway driver until the XHot after that.

Nike Covert Hybrid.....geebus, I reckon I hit it pure just once. It had a sweet spot the size of a pinhead and just nasty off the deck.

Odyssey Sabretooth putter. Any mishit would either roar past the hole and end up 15 feet past or barely make it half way to the hole. The problem, it as random luck as to which mishit you'd get.

That shaft was crap. Bought the same shaft on a 905R driver and used it at my college driving range on campus. The ball would shoot up and fall down too fast. Switched to a Diamana Whiteboard shaft and that solved the problem. Traded the old one in for credit toward a set of irons.

Odyssey BLACKSPIN wedge. I was young, dumb and single... so I had money to burn. It looked so good, yet sucked so bad. Plastic face/grooves on a sandwedge = LOLOLOLOLOLOL...

The guys talking about the Nike "red top" hybrid, if you're talking about the covert 2.0 tour, I couldn't be more opposite. It's the only "old" club (other than my putter) that has stayed in the bag for years. If I need a solid shot, I know the ball will go exactly where I want it to. Maybe it's my swing or something!

Worst club I've ever owned was the M2 fairway wood. First one I had cracked at the bottom of the face (I baby the crap out of my clubs so this was odd for me) so they replaced it (which I thought was great of TM). I swear I only hit that thing straight maybe 3 times before I finally cut ties. Got a Cobra F9 3 wood and can make the ball do whatever I want, off the tee and off the turf. Night and day difference for me.

I had a TaylorMade Rocketballz hybrid that I loathed. It looked more like a fairway wood than a hybrid and played like one, too. It was not terribly easy to hit, but when I did catch it correctly it went a mile. A mile left. It was such a pointless club for me. I want my 3 hybrid to give me an easy, no pressure 200-220 yards, not a difficult, inconsistent 230 with an occasional hook off the planet. Not to mention the head shape meant it was less useful on tough lies. It served no purpose and I was so happy to chuck it.

Say what you will about "made for" shafts these days, but the stock TaylorMade shaft in that hybrid was such total junk. I think it was like 50 grams.

omg so many to list. 20+ years of club ho-ing have led me to conclude a few of the following horrible stuff I've tried:

SQ dymo driver, pre-2009 cleveland classic putters, nicklaus air max woods, covert vrs 2.0 irons, r-11s (I too hated this), the original nike forged driver, odyssey black series putters (worst insert ever), the original scotty detour (not the newport)

If the VAS clubs are the "worst clubs ever" then Corey Pavin must be the best player ever because he put them to good use...Corey Pavin

From 1984 to 1988, Pavin won seven times with his VAS cast irons, which carried a purple logo. His most famous win came in the 1995 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills, a win highlighted by a laser-like 4-wood to the 18th green that led to the win over Greg Norman.https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2221591-ranking-the-5-worst-equipment-changes-by-a-pga-tour-player

I've tried many, even in shafts that worked for me (Tour AD DI). Something about the R11s just felt wrong. I ended up playing RBZ Tour during that time, which worked out much better for me.

Did this come with an adjustment tool and some kind of adjustment guide that not even a physicist could not decipher? I had no idea what I was doing. I played one summer with this piece of shit and never hit my driver more than 20 feet off the ground.

I nominate the Ben Hogan driver with the Aldila lime green shaft. I bought one and my buddy bought one. Marked down to $100. Not sure when...late 90s or so. The club was a good 15 yds shorter than our previous driver and after about 10 rounds some epoxy of whatever broke off and rattled around in the head.....in both of our clubs.

The story does not end there. Got paired up with a guy one day who had the same club. First tee, he pulls it out and he has the same rattle. We all died with laughter.

The club was beautiful to look at though...

Ding ding ding! What a POS. I mean, true junk. The ball would come off mid traj and then just climb up and fall straight down out of the sky. Horrible.

My buddy actually bought mine from me (and I never sold clubs per se). I remember him asking, and me barely being able contain my excitement about offloading the club and getting money for it. I remember trying to not look too eager so he wouldn't change his mind, but said "ok" as soon as I could. LOL

I think you're talking about the CS-3. It had 3 fixed position weights distributed about the back that could not be moved or swapped. It was a distance killing spin machine - but it sure went straight. I absolutely f'ing hated that thing. Agree that it looked good though.

I've been gaming r11s ever since it came out (so almost 10 years with round-up haha). I fell in love with it and it has been great. perhaps, r11 is a bit different from r11s... For me the worst club has been adams pro hybrid. It feels like a wooden stick and don't like the feel at all. Other than the feel, it works well...

BANG Dark Matter Driver

Picture yourself rolling up to a big $ match on a course that...

1 - Has 14 severe dog-leg right driving holes that demanded no more than 175 yards of forward carry, and another 50 yards of turn.

2 - The tee boxes on those 14 holes are tightly lined with trees whose canopies are no higher than 8 feet above the ground.

3 - Your match-play opponent suffers from hyperacusis.

Under those circumstances, The BANG Dark Matter driver is the ideal club!
