Morikawa is a lovely iron/wedge player, Bryson is going to blow a few wedges like that on 17 in the future if he's mad about speed and power. Would be nice to see Morikawa win averaging less than 300 yards to show it's not just about the longest drive.

Good win for List who has made the playoffs the last 4 years, but he is now on the outside (at 130) looking in. Shows how important it is to get starts on tour and the unintended consequences of giving starts to players who haven't contended or been top 125 in years.

For years now, every time there was a controversy on this board about fan behavior and how terrible people are, etc. I would almost always post something along the lines of "if you want to end the problems with fan behavior, especially drunk fans behavior, then allow no spectators on the course." Well, there you have it, no drunk spectators causing problems, no balls landing in grandstands where players get free relief, no having a camera guy following someone who has to give high fives and fist bumps to every person along the ropes after a birdie.

 

It was a great tournament to watch and I hope it happens every week on every tour from now on, including The Masters, the Open Championship, and especially the Ryder, President's, and Soldhiem Cups.

It was a good watch! I didn't pay attention to golf for the last three months except for catching a little bit of the Tiger/Phil charity event but tuned off that quickly, it was really boring. The finish today was awesome. Golf is back!

I wish HV3 won but I loved his reaction to stupid a** Jim Nance after his finish, holding his head high. He'll win soon. He's the best guy to root for.

And kudos to Burger coming back strong and taking down Morikawa. Well deserved. His swing has always been weird, I dunno where exactly he hurt his wrist but I remember at Austin CC I think it was in a final round Dell Match Play against Phil where Burger hit a brick wall in his downswing and f'd up his wrist badly a few years ago. He cups the f outta his left wrist anyway, looks painful just watching it.

I hope they bring back Amanda next week.
