Anyone ever work with Bob Grissett??

Go to his website to get more details, but he says there are three fundamentals. Hit the ground in the same place in front of the ball, improve the spine movement, and club face/path relationship. He's S&T certified, but teaches a centered pivot and seems to be influence by The Golfing Machine. You'll see lots of examples of Mac O'Grady,

Emphasis in my lessons was on a centered pivot, side bend on both sides of the swing, and extension, especially on the through swing in the pelvis, thoracic, and cervical spine.

I have worked with Bob for about a year now. I probably did 15 online lessons with him last year. I went from a 1 to a +1.5. I played collegiately but never really worked on my swing with anyone. I flew down to florida to spend a day with Bob in person (March 2021) and I feel like my progress skyrocketed from the instant feedback. I am easily hitting the ball the best I have in my life and my goal for the year is to climb into the top 1,000 WAGR.

Bob has good relationships with many top instructors and has a treasure trove of videos he will send you on each topic. I have really enjoyed learning more about proper golf swing technique. The virtual lessons are an absolute steal for anyone who wants to learn how to become a better ball striker.

All "tips" are welcome. Instruction not desired.

Nice improvement. Did Bob get you using the rotator training aid? That looks interesting. Thanks.

I took four in person lessons with him until Covid hit, then did five online lessons. I definitely learned some things from him that I need to do and wouldn't have figured out for myself. He's got a pretty good deal for his online lessons, five for $199. Good way to try him out and see if you like him.

Thanks for the info. So after the lessons with Bob, did you improve?

Monte introduced us to Bob ( and many other great instructors) on Instagram in the early days of Covid and he's very solid. I follow him on IG along with Monte of course and see his stuff every day. Glad to see people working with him.....

So far so good. You can send up to 6? Videos, it might even be 8. He responds in a timely manner (4-5 days). Camera angles are important as always but he will likely give you 2 things to work on initially and send a ton of videos and pictures Covering the topic. Everything was covered in great detail. I feel like getting at least 2 online lessons would be a good idea to gauge progress

Maybe I have been around the game too long but this guy seems like a complete know it all that makes the game and golf swing a lot more complex than it needs to be. Better for him, bad for you.
I laugh,  he talks about teaching tour pros around the world when he is traveling up and down 95 hustling every lesson from anyone he can con.

I Love the emphasis on the shiny objects, kvest and track man. Guys that focus on these shiny objects are guys that can’t teach. Beware!

Show us on the doll where the golf pro touched you.  Create a new account just to revive a topic 8 months dead?

Just as a counterpoint.  I think Bob's online lesson package is possibly one of the best values in golf.  I think what he teaches is very simple.  Nobody is for everybody and Bob won't sugarcoat anything, but I think any pro that can show you that you can't hit the ball because your doing X, All golfers that do hit it good are doing Y, can give you examples of Y and prescribe drills to help you learn what Y feels like is a damn good teacher in my book.
