Are there fake ventus on the market?

Saw a good deal on a ventus shaft that is the velocore version (pic has velocore) graphic. It is used and it is a pull. Are there any fakes on the market?

Not that I've seen, but there are sure to be some people confused with pricing due to the taylormade shafts.

Yeah for sure people are confused.

This one i saw is a Ventus red which is probably less popular in general but given its the velocore version i was concerned the price was too good to be true. But it is used and is a pull so i guess its reasonable to be under 200.

Oh, yeah, the red version goes for considerably less. Seen a few auctions under $150 for pulls at various lengths.

Blue/Black seem to stay over 250 tho

Probably because not many WRXers need a Red 5S Ventus because everyone here hits it over 300 yards except me.

I'm feeling better that this is a legit Ventus shaft. Originally I could find much info about the ebay seller by the ebay id, but when I just received the shipment info, the company listed is an authorized Fujikura dealer. All things pointing to this being legit.

what do you mean when you say pulls? U just bought a used ventus blue one off 3ball.com for $100.

The 'pulls' from taylormade clubs and that have taylormade tips for under $100 are not real ventus shafts

Whats the difference between a taylormade pull and whats the downfall of them?

They do not contain ANY 'Velocore' technology whatsoever - and that's what makes a ventus a ventus. And thats why fujikura themselves promote 'velocore' so much. 

 

So basically you get none of the technology you actually want a ventus for

I am wondering too about fakes because I bought a Tour Edge driver with a "Ventus" blue 6S shaft (not from Tour Edge, but on ebay).  I have used Ventus red and blue before and this shaft never felt right,  I compared it to 2 other shafts and the graphics did not match up in their alignment and the font was a bit different. The blue color is also more purple than blue, not even close to the real Ventus blue color.

Pictures always help…does it say Velocore on it? The fakes I’ve seen usually have a font noticeably smaller than the authentic.

Tour edge has a sort of "made for" Ventus Blue shaft.

It is not a fake, but it does not have Velocore.

The Touredge Version Red has a 4T on it while I believe TE CS has stated the Blue also uses 4T but does not have it written.

That being said, 4T is not Velocore, but "might" be a better version that the TM Ventus shafts.

like the poster above said, it sounds like it's the Ventus shaft made for Tour Edge. It's like a greyish/purple color and may say 4t Core down at the bottom instead of Velocore.
