Best shoes for bandon?

Any insight about what you have or what worked for walking a thousand holes at bandon?

Personally, I swear by the ECCO Biom Hybrid, and bring 2 pair to Bandon and alternate them. You want both waterproof and walkable. Also, some type of anti-friction powder or gel on your feet and good quality socks are a must to avoid blisters. If your feet blister it will affect your enjoyment of the trip, I learned that my first time at Bandon. That said, everyone's feet are different and there are many good shoe options. You have to go with what's comfortable for you.

Second Ecco as I've worn them almost exclusively in the ten years I've been playing. I used to wear the Hybrid but converted to the regular version a couple of years ago. Also a fan of the New Balance Fresh Foam LinksPro as a more affordable option.

I never get blisters but have bad feed in general (have worn orthotics since I was a teenager) and you can't go wrong with Ecco.

Bought my first pair of True Linkswear and I don't know if I'll even own another pair of golf shoes. Both the originals and the knit are the most comfortable shoes I've owned. Originals are waterproof as well.

I take a pair of Air Bandon high tops if they rains because they keep all water out; and then a pair of Sketchers Go Golf for no rain.

+3 on ECCO Biom Hybrid, the ones with Goretex. Been through some really bad weather and feet were still dry and blister free. Whatever you get, be sure to break them in for a few weeks or longer before taking them to Bandon..

whatever shoes you have already warn for 10+ rounds. Make sure you break anything in very thoroughly before showing up. That's definitely more important than any specific shoe in my book.

Just got back from a trip, 5 rounds in 3 days. I wore a pair of adidas adicross and a pair of gfore gallivanter. Both shoes I wear regularly and have worn on previous trips. Anything comfortable that your own feet like is what I would recommend.

Just as important as your shoes are your socks. A lot of first timer worry about their shoes and show up with no show socks they wear at home.

I am diabetic and can have severe foot aches and pains. Wearing thicker socks helps with foot health. At home I wear no show socks. At Bandon, I wear either gfore socks or compression socks that go over my calves. Changing socks between rounds is a must. Even if you are only playing 18, I would still get out of my shoes as fast as possible into flip flops and allow your feet to breathe. It helps a lot for me.

Adidas Crossknits Boosts would be my first choice. The boost foam really makes the firm turf not so hard on your feet. Adidas Climaproof BOA when it starts raining hard.

I wear no-show or low-cut socks 99% of the time at home but agree with you on this. Bad weather or a lot of moisture/sweat and no-shows tend to slip/ride down, leaving your bare heel in contact with the shoe.

lightest Most comfy waterproofs, change socks after each round, never same pair back to back, moleskin back of foot above the heel, portable shoe dryer if in wet months. Footjoy guy most my life. Comfort has declined since hyperflex 2 and dna. NB striker my new favorite walking shoe for comfort.

adidas boost and ecco biom in that order. I would not recommend true linkswear shoes. i had heard so much hype about comfort--'like walking barefoot' , so i bought a pair. problem is no cushioning and i hate walking barefoot. if it hurts you to step on lego's, tacks, or glass you might not like them. I gave them to my cousin who can walk on coals and he likes them.

Any athletic or comfortable sock. Compression socks can help but not necessary, at least yet
