How many hybrids are in your bag and your age?

looking at my bag and noticed 6 clubs in the bag have head covers. Three of them being hybrids. It just snuck up on me that I’m turning into my dad but he did it with woods. I’m 61 and play 3,4,&5 hybrids. Actually adding a six when it gets here.

Currently 1, but I play a 7w as well (which may get swapped for a 19* hybrid), and I'm 35.

70 - NO hybrids, long irons including 2 iron plus 4wd and Driver.

Edit: current index 4-5 trending down. Play 2-4 times per week and often big boy tees. Prior to virus, practice consists of a small bucket before teeing off and multiple times per day chipping from my office down the hall to a net.

I'm similar to you... I carry a 4h, and the longest iron is a 5i. I also carry either a 3w or 5w depending on how long the course is. I will sometimes play from the men's tee instead of the senior tees and then I'll normally take the 3w. I also have a 3h, but I found that it doesn't really give me any added distance over the 4h.

I'd like to replace the 4h with a 4i, but I haven't really found one that works for me. I'll be 73 in October.

Just one - a G25 20 degree I found at GG. Hit it in the store, $40 it was mine. I just hit it well. It's essentially the same as my 4 iron (G30 so 21 degrees) but I like it better. I'm looking for a 17 degree used (with a tour stiff shaft like the 20 degree) - so I can just have my driver, 3W, and the 2 hybrids then 5 iron down. I'm 48.

One or two, depending on what course I'm playing. If I know I'm playing a course with a lot of trouble and trees I'll carry 5I for playing punches - if it's an open course, I'll carry my 23 degree hybrid instead. It's just so much easier for everything except punches. Always carry my 19 degree hybrid. I'm 26. Most guys in my age group don't carry two (or even one) but I have no shame in the better performing option for me over pride.

I should of added how often do you play. That was the reason I added them over the years. Once a week here and no practice. Laid off the game during my son’s early years. So from 41 to 57 the game was played sporadically, sometimes less than the fingers on one hand and no more than 15 times a year. My prime I golfed at a 5 HCI but that was a long time ago. Loved my long irons then. Now just a 14 WHS and loving my hybrids.

Longest iron - 7, sometimes 8

3 woods - driver, 4 wood, 7 wood

2 hybrids - 4 and 5

But that 4 and 5 hybrid are the same lofts as and replace my 5 and 6 irons. Sometimes I play a 6 hybrid that replaces my 7 iron. So sometimes I have as many as 7 headcovers in my bag, including the putter cover.

I'm 65 and walk 18, 3 days a week. Hit the range at least 1 other day and chip and pitch at home some.

Seems as the more covers I have the easier it is to score in the 70s. Shot a 34 for 9 holes Wednesday with 6 headcovers.

I play the typical "men's tees" at my course, just a little over 6000 yards. I don't hit the 3W very good off the deck but I need it to tee off on 18, a hole that is bisected by a creek and doglegs around a huge tree at the corner. Driver is too much, even choking down, and 5W isn't enough with an adverse wind. I'd like to find a hybrid that I could hit a little longer than the 5W and more consistently than the 3W so I could drop it from the bag.
