Center of the Clubface: Smash Factor: 1,45

Hey guys,

I am Playing a 10,5 degree 917 D2 with the blue Fujikura stock shaft in Stiff., Swing speed: 105-110. Trackman says I hit it on the center of the clubface and it only produces 1,45 Smash factor.

I heard that it should be 1,5 and if it was, it would give me another 15 yards?

Thinking about getting fitted for a new driver.

Smash Factor is the speed of the ball coming off the clubface vs the speed of the swing, as far as I understand it... So a 100mph swing leads to a 150mph ball speed vs 145 ball speend at 1.5 vs 1.45 smash factor. I don't know enough about how ball speed translates to yards to give you a definitive answer on how much farther it should go... There is more to distance gain that simple ball speed (though ball speed is a huge factor). Need to make sure the launch parameters are good and you have a good path.

If you are looking to get more distance, it is definitely worth looking into getting a new driver. Get on a trackman and see what your numbers are... then work to improve them.

I've recently become a Fit For Golf acolyte.... I work out anyways, so why not do stuff to increase club head speed... faster swing = more distance.
