I believe msrp for 565 were 1100 for 4-pw when they came out

Preeeeeeeetty sure they weren't actually selling for that. Now, are srixon more popular since then? of course. Has the golf industry taken a yuge hit on profit due to Cvd? also yes.

As far as I know, Mizuno had also been more or at least equivalent to srixon pricing.

When I bought the 919 HMP I was choosing between them , the 919f and the 785. I choose the HMP because of offset over the 919f.  I really liked the 785, but I had always had mizuno so I stayed with it.  Now I really like the looks of the ZX7’s. I’ve seen the offset numbers and looks greater compared to HMP919. Is anyone else concerned about this? Should I just weaken the lofts? I love the Modus120s in my HMP , also love the Modus 125 in my T20 wedges; should I get a heavier Modus in ZX7? Thoughts?

Yeah, I got my Z765s (4-P) within a few months of release for under for $650.

I'm gonna guess it'll be 1k for a 4-pw setup. At least that's what I'm banking on. I'll be going zx5 and the cbx2s cuz I currently and likely will continue to suck.

And if they don't come out here till spring, there will still be ways to get them from overseas.

a couple of questions to answer there. I’ll answer from my standpoint... if I were to purchase the 785’s or x7’s, I would weaken them by 2-3 degrees because I like weaker lofted clubs. If you wanted to reduce offset, weakening the lofts would also help that aspect too. I’m not understanding why you would move out of the Modus 120’s... am I missing something here? The 120 stiff is 114 grams, the x is 120 and the tx is 126. No matter what stiffness profile, the 120 is very unique, if you love them, as I do, there is not a reason in the world to change that. The 125 wedge shaft is an absolutely fantastic shaft too. Good to have a bit more weight in the wedges. Good setup.

Thanks Mookie. I was thinking possibly more weight like x in 120 or another Modus would counter the offset as my miss is left. I like possibly weakening the lofts to do this. I mentioned the 125 in wedges to show success in something heavier than the 120s. My biggest gripe with the HMP is lack of spin to hold greens. I’m not saying I want to switch iron shafts, just threw it out there for more feedback. Thanks

Don’t think we’ll be buying these for under $100/club anytime soon if I had to guess...

I doubt it. It was back when Srixon was a well kept secret.

The only positive about golf season ending in the east in a couple month, you get time to make your next purchase. The ZX5/ZX7 is on the top of my list. I figure I'll see the new Ping iron offerings before the spring, which will allow me to make a better decision.

I like your perspective.  A transplant from AZ now living in MA I should consider this approach.....or order the JPX921’s on Monday when they start taking them ?

What are the stock shaft offerings for the irons? Someone asked what the stock was in the utility and there was a reply that it was Recoil 95.

Is that the stock graphite shaft in the irons as well?

The stock are the modus 105 and 120

Now.. What are the other 'stock' shaft upgrades.. I haven't seen the official list. Would guess its similar to the 85 series
