After 13 years on the Mizuno train, I think I’ll be hopping off for the ZX7’s. These look sweet in the pics Greg takes. I tend to get a little steep, and would love to have a sole design that helps with that. 
 

Does anyone know if TI DG will be available for free like the Z785’s?

You're obviously a 7 guy. How did you feel about the 5s? I have the 565s now. I love the 7s, but know I can use the forgiveness of the 5s. What are your thoughts of the differences?

 

I'm really excited for the woods. I have the 785 driver but im thinking of the 5 for the next one. 

 

Ugh. Im gonna spend a lot of money on srixon this year.

You know looking at the 5s from address. There is not much difference from the 7s. The look really good. Slightly thicker sole and tip line. Maybe a hair larger but not much. 
 

the new utility looks great!! Super clean super classy.

I wish I could find it, but there was something posted that actually showed the blade length of the irons. The 5's & 7's are identical throughout most of the set. I seriously believe these will be my next irons.

The ZX7 is identical in Blade length and offset to the 921 Tour

the topline is 1mm greater with ZX7 vs 921 tour and about 1mm less with the ZX7 for sole width

If they are not the same they are super close. These white background pics actually make them look worse than real life. The offset blends really well and I could hardly see it in person. For sure there, but not huge looking..

I was waiting for all of the releases to be announced, and the ZX5's win in my eyes.  Wanted to like the HMpro and 425, but the lofts of the Z's are much more appealing.  Also love the feel and performance of my 565 irons!

The website I'm pulling from only has a normal spec sheet for the 785s. Offset and Leading/Trailing Bounce are the only specs. No topline or blade length.

I'd like to see that as well. The 785's were actually my least favorite of the 7 series. Loved the 745 and 765 but didn't love the look of the 785's. Can't wait to test the zx7's though.

Can’t wait to see if the new 7s are better! I’m guessing they’re more in line with 785 size?

Have gamed 745/765 the past 4 years and just put the 85s in the bag. 65s were gamers for 3 years (I’m a ho so that’s saying a ton). I thought the 85s were much smaller/compact looking when I first started playing them but when I compared 4 irons they’re pretty similar. Soles have gotten narrower. 

Left to right are 745/65/85 4-irons. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to get rid of them!

Thanks for the comparison pictures. The one from address is interesting. The z785 looks the longest heel to toe.

Yeah I’m not sure what’s up with that. Angle is messing with it and making it look weird. Long irons seem similar. Short irons are much appealing to me in the 85s compared to the 65s. Seem shorter heel to toe and the shape is less bulky.
