I would nut if the ZX7s have a brushed chrome finish like miura's. Remind me of the TC201s.

I didn't get a chance to play the 545 series but have previously play the 565 and currently the 585. I like a 'square' head and I find the 8 series much better than the 6 series. When the 8 series picture were on the USGA list they didn't look so good. But I'm loving my 8 series now!!! I've never had a square headed iron and I've found my ideal shape. Excited to see wha the z5's look like!

i own my 765 and it is the best iron set i ever owned. These look awesome also and cant wait to demo

These irons have a very different looking in comparaison to my Z585 irons. I prefer mine.

Interesting that the utility iron is the odd one out. It doesn’t look like the 5 or 7 series.

I suspect it’s a preview of what the Z Forged update will look like. The 7 sand wedge looks similar

I like em both....who looks at the back of the clubs when you are playing anyway....how will they perform?

Cant wait for all the marketing hype though..."10 yards longer"...."solid feel at impact"..."the most stable club ever built".....

If the z7 had the non-stepped toe of the x5 it would look so much better.

That would be idiotic if they went away from that sole. That makes these irons perform imo (at least in their previous models).

Their irons are always top notch and im sure these will be too. Hopefully they altered the loft progression that really the only complaint on the 585, 6 degrees from gap to pitching and 2 degrees from 4 to 5 iron doesn't make sense.

I don't know man, hard to beat the looks of 785 or Z and I seriously doubt they'll perform better.

The ZX7 is a bit busy in the toe area, but will wait to hear the reason from the company website.

No doubt they have moved the cg to increase playability. But will see,

Fortunately, I am very happy with the 785's, and most likely to keep them, but can not dismiss the ZX7's, if there is a real tangible benefit to the design.

I was asking because they seemed very pronounced in the 45’s and I hadn’t seen or heard much about it since. Maybe becoming gradually less of a selling point?

Zx5 looks really good. The cavity reminds me a lot of the JPX 919 forged. It’ll be interesting to see the specs.

i hope Srixon makes the gap wedge available in the US. Its my full swing club anyway, might as well have it match the rest of the set.

If you look at the sole up near the hosel in the pics there's a little bit sticking up. This suggests both the ZX7 and the ZX5 might be getting the more pronounced V sole similar to the version that was on the 745 and 545 rather than the more blended/softened version that was on the 765 and 785.

If so, I reckon that'll make a lot of people happy.

Obviously I'm going to withhold full judgement until we have in hand pics. I've been waiting for this years release to replace my 565s. I was planning on doing a blended set. I like the look of the ZX5 over the 585s. I thought the black badging and paint was a miss with the 585s. I think the ZX7 look similar-ish to the 785, just a bit more busy. But at least there arent any badges. That part looks clean. I cant wait to hear what improvements they feel they have made to these irons.

 

I'm real excited for everything Srixon/Cleveland is putting out. I have a feeling I'm gonna flip everything except my hybrid and 3w during this fall.

I think the ZX5 is very underwhelming - looks like a 919 HM clone. Don’t like what looks to be a badge in the back....

I’ve been dying to turn my 565 set into a combo and it looks like I’m just going to make a combo of these.

 

I really do think the x5 looks like a major upgrade and I quite like the aesthetics of the x7 even though it seems to be a split opinion on here so far

They already do, I've been looking for the 785 approach wedge here in the UK and the only place i can find them is the US.

Continued evolution of the lines, it doesn't help that the only picture in focus is of the ZX5, the other two look like they were taken with a potato
