Srixon 2020 Irons ZX7, ZX5, ZX Utility

I think the Z745’s are still their best players cavity and best feeling irons-never played the blade designs on the course though.

The ZX5s look like they will be their best mid-high handicapper set yet.

I think they’ll sell a lot of the ZX5s. And I agree, first thing I thought of was the Mizuno JPX 900/919 line of cavity irons.

Was looking at replacing my Z785/Z-Forged combo set with T100-S and this this happens...Will probably wait til these come out and see if they are any higher spinning, as that is my only complaint about any of the Srixon line.

 

The ZX7 kind of looks like they were going for like a half Z785 half MP-54 diamond cavity deal. Not sure about it but if it feels good and spins more it'll likely end up in the bag because that V-Sole is the truth.

I think the ZX7 looks a little similar to the Honma TW747vx.

Excited to see the final products. Local shop said they expected these in September, also mentioned JPX forged/tour this fall as well.

I hit Srixons at a demo and decided they would be my next set of irons, not sure if I am going to wait on these or grab a set of the 85s for a discount.

There seriously good clubs. I’ve been playing the Z785 for over a year now and love them. Am tempted by the Miura TC-201 but after demoing them I’m sticking with Srixon. They feel better than anything I’ve tried.

Can't wait to see them from address. From this pic it looks like it may be more squared off like 745 than the 85 was. I still have a couple years left out of my 745, but these might be my next set. I'd be more likely to consider the 5 series for 4-5 iron. They look great so far. Yeah, definitely a JPX forged look, but it's the best iteration yet for the 5 series.

 

EDIT: I do wish the X7 had the same toe design as the X5 vs being scooped out, although it would definitely look heavily influenced by the JPX Tour. Not really a bad thing!

Srixon has had delays with most releases (Port workers strikes in years past as an example). My 565's took a month from order to delivery, and still came in off-spec. People need to temper their expectations of getting orders in hand quickly due to global events.

Still love Srixon irons though...worth the wait!

Been playing Srixon's since the 45 series all the way through the 785's currently, and they just feel so damn good. Cant find anything better but was strongly considering giving the TC 201's a go, so still will but good to hear your opinion after having already done so.

I was choosing between Miura MC-501 vs Mizuno MP 20 MMC.

I went to the fitting with intention of buying either Miura or Mizuno in mind but ended up converting to the Z785s...

Yeah, I'm a fool for even considering something else because they've been that good for me. Don't fix something that aint broke, but that HO in me is always searching for more and better........not sure any such thing exist when compared to the 785's.

I absolutely love the looks of the TC-201. Its a much more compact head with a squarer toe than the 785. That’s the only advantage it had. The 785 outperformed the 201 in every other way including feel which I was not expecting. 201 is awesome but they don’t pack the same punch.
