Last year I went with the Callaway ERC Soft. I turned one of my golfing buddies onto it and all of a sudden he was driving the ball as far as me. This year I went with the 2020 Chrome Soft and regained my 10-15 yard advantage over him. Next year I'm going with the Snell MTB Black.

Callaway Chrome Soft. I just seem to hit them straight and they’re good around the green.

Bridgestone E6 or E6 Speed. I play municipal courses and hit a high ball, so I never have trouble holding greens- I even spin them back sometimes. I play them for the reduced driver spin, which helps me hit the ball straight off the tee. I’ve had my best rounds with them.

Normally I am a ProV1 guy, but I recently tried the AVX and I have to admit I was impressed with the flight.  I need to spend a little more time with it, especially chipping to see if it is a potential contender.

Bridgestone Tour B XS...have used Bridgestone/Precept products for many years, gives me feel, spin and trajectory control I want with great deal of stability in wind.

I played Pv1x Left Dash all year and loved it. Tried to kick it out of the bag this fall and I went crawling back to it. I’m done experimenting until the new balls come out. I wish the AVX was a bit firmer, I just lose too many yards with it compared to Left Dash.

Taylormade Tour Preferred (2016 version).  I have gamed this ball since they came out in 2016 and purchased 6 dozen in 2018.  Through attrition (for a variety of reasons) I am down to my last 3 dozen.  I don't loose too many balls and I replace the ball when I get some sort of moderate/heavy abrasion on the cover.  I generally play a couple/three rounds with a ball then retire it.  Once I am through the last 3 dozen I will have to find a new ball to play.

Played pro v1x for years but switched to the Taylormade tour response this year. Goes a little further off the tee, a little straighter and seems to spin just right for me.

Bridgestone E6, Taylormade Project A, and Titleist NXT Tour. So far the Titleist has been the best, but I only have a half dozen rounds on them.

 

I have some Srixon Soft Feel on the way, but I might wait to put them into rotation.

I bought some older version Bridgestone RX and loved it so much I bought the 2020 version.

Best ball I have played, long and stops on a dime

I also play the Srixon XV which I will switch to when I run out of the RX

Only because of the deal on the XV (buy 2 get one free)

But I do like the Bridgestone a lot.

Changed to Bridgestone Tour XS this year, it's greatness for me.

 

Winter (cold temp) balls are TM Proj A and Vice Pro, cuz they're good enough for winter golf and cheap (less than $25/dz)

I probably have close to 2 seasons worth of TP5X's left in my stash, but in the 2021 season I'm going to try a few other balls such as the Bridgestone BX, possibly the Wilson Staff Model and the Snell MTB Black and MTB-X. Will see if I like anything better from that batch above.

Last three rounds, Kirkland Signature. I like them much more than the Srixon soft feel I was using prior.

Been playing the Z-Star for a long time. Been thinking of a switch at end of this past season. Played a TP5  and liked the driver and long iron flight slight lower and stronger flight but has the soft feel I like about Srixon.  Will settle on something in the spring and stick to it.

Mostly the Kirkland 3-piece.  I don't notice a big enough performance difference to spend 3x the price for a marginally better performing ball.  As an 11 cap who plays a course with a lot of heather and water, I lose enough balls where the price becomes a factor.

 

When I "splurge", it's usually for the Snell MTB-X
