I'm a fan after seeing his play last week. Unbelievable ball striking and putting. Webb just made one more putt. They were both sizzling. Ancer's demeanor and focus never changed. I hope he wins soon.

Tomorrow Brendon Todd goes for his third tournament win of the season. Who had him down as your PGA Tour Player of the Year?

If Dustin Johnson wins, that extends his streak of consecutive seasons with at least one win to 13. He would be one behind Tiger's 14. After falling out of the top 5 for the first time since 2016, a win would put him back at #3.

If Phil wins, he becomes the first 50 year old to win on tour since Davis Love III in 2015. He also could return to the Top 50 in the world rankings.

Viktor Hovland could be the first man from Norway to make it to the top 50.

I like Hovland as a player but from what I saw of him today his short game is still clearly his weak link. It might have let him escape Puerto Rico with a win but I don't think he can beat a field this deep with it. Great contrast in playing styles tomorrow between Todd and DJ.

Lots of very good scores the last 3 weeks. Shows how intimidating it is playing in front of crowds who aren't all your best friends.

Looks like Mickelson probably shot himself out of the tournament today. That's been his deal for a while in no longer being able to string four good rounds together.

Looking at JT’s performance, it was his poor Approach play -2.842 & poor Putting -5.442. Perfect recipe for a MC.

Just so surprised he didn’t grind enough to make the weekend, when I saw him he was whining and he looked like he quit out there.

That could be an explanation for some of the guys. Strong fields, light winds, relatively short courses and softish greens that are putting true could also be factors. Furyk shot 58 on this track with fans a few years back.

While Phil's best days may be behind him, it was only 4 tournaments ago that he had back to back 3rds, one where his high round of 70 equaled the high round of the winner (and was equal or better than all but 1 in the field). Puting 4 good rounds together is hard for anybody, but I think Phil will win at least one more time on tour.

Coming off a 68 I think Papa Smurf or someone else has a 60-62 in them, and if those who got the 61's yesterday have a round like Phil had today, well then we have a bunch around 18-20 under. Don't think DJ will have another low 60's round, but don't think he will choke and get 68. Brendan Todd has been playing too well to get scared on Sunday too...

Soft greens, even with Sunday pin placements maybe someone still has a 60 to score?

I just hope we have a reason to watch until the end; hate it when someone runs away with it, unless it is a guy for this first win. We'll see!

Man, last time I followed the weekend tourney on WRX they were having 80+ pages of posts. Since the pandemic layoff are more people playing instead of watching and posting? I know our local golf courses are busy as heck over the past 3 months...
