Miura CB 1008 versus TC 201, feedback?

I had/have 2 sets of CB1008 (among others). Recently built a combo set of TC201, but only have a couple rounds on them so far.

My early feedback is that they are pretty much identical...I’m sure if you studied them next to each other you’d find differences, but from a playing standpoint so far, I don’t think any one is prettier or more forgiving than the other. They’re both great

I have cb1008 and tc101 miura giken both shafted with shimada Ktour stiff shaft. Feel, forgiveness, flight are all the same. The tc101 have copper underlay. I don't feel there is any difference on center strikes. Both sets came from a shop in Japan called one2one.

I have sets of both, and agree with an above poster that they are incredibly similar. I have to assume the new TCs are more forgiving with the additional cavity back, but they are awfully close in my hands.

Reviving this thread since I now game a set of TC-201 irons. My previous irons were J15CB, and before that I gamed Srixon z545s. I can't compare to the CB1008, but I weighed heavily on which to go with. 

 

Having several rounds on these, I can comment on the relative forgiveness, playability, size comparison, distance, ect if anyone has any questions about them. So far I'm thrilled with the irons. Any deficiency I have with these in my game is due to my hands and not the clubs, they are that awesome.

I've considered these since I'd love to play some Miura clubs, and the TC-201 were quoted to me.  I'm currently playing the Apex CF19's and just wondering how the transition would be to the TC-201's?

The Apex CF19 is a more forgiving club with more tech to help produce a good ball on mediocre strikes. However, If you are a decent ball striker and have some game with your iron play, you can certainly transition to the TC-201s without a major issue. The Miura CB-301 is a bit more forgiving than the TC-201 and may be a better stepping stone from the Apex CF19 if you were afraid to make that leap to the TC-201.

I own the cb1008 and had a fitting session for the 201.

not big difference for me. I expected a little more forgiveness and ballspeed, but non of the two.

as I prefer the looks of the cb1008 and to me it looks to have less offset and doesn’t go left as much I stick with what I have
