@phizzy30 , here's the trackman data. I think the total ydage might be applicable for pretty firm conditions, but this is what I got :). 3-wood data with club champion:

I have always questioned Club Champions TrackMan setups. I see funky numbers form them all the time. I don't know how you would accomplish a 4.5* angle of attack with a 3 wood off the deck. You'd be drop kicking it hard.

Maybe it was off a tee?

Any more updates on this shaft? Saw the txg video on tb vs ventus blue vs rdx blue.

T'was a great video. Loved it when Ian changed a couple of things to the setup and BAM, different result.

Yes, changing the head made a big difference.  Fitting is key. Thought the tb wasn't as good as the other two until the head was changed.

The TB is a phenomenal shaft. It's a staple in the industry, and they just made it better with this series. I have had tremendous success with my golfers. Similar fitting style as what was in the TXG video. Seems to really open up when someone who needs just a little more launch and with a lower lofted head. I love the fact that I can go down a little in loft for that golfer and give them this shaft.

I received my TB this week.  Really like it.  Feels slightly tighter (stouter would be too saying too much) compared to the BF.  I dropped it in my TSi3 9.0 and the combo was fantastic for me.  It’s early but I am very happy with it.  Have a GC quad in the basement.  So I will have lots more to share.  It appears the snow in the middle west will force me to test and mess around over the coming days.

The OP said it was off the deck, I believe. And, even if it was teed up, 4.5* up with a fairway wood is incredibly difficult unless you're teeing it up 2".

It’s true. I am prone to a drop kick or a top, particularly when I swing harder than usual. I’m even + on my irons. Something I’m working on!

Intrigued to hear more on this combo. What weight and flex are you playing it in? This shaft is one of the 2 I wanted to try for my TSi3 for 2021.

Hopefully he decides he needs x flex and sells me the stiff cheap. 😉. Then I guess I will have to buy a tsi3.

Mine is on the way for my TSi3 8.0! Can’t wait 🙂 Curious, why you opted for the ‘s’ and not the ‘x’ flex. Without knowing your launch, attack, and spin data, read from the Diamana TB fitting chart for x flex recommendations for 106 mph ss or above.

I have a BF 60 s and I can swing it smooth and keep my spin between 1900 and 2300 (on good swings).  So I opted for the same in the TB.  I am a 9 index and I not terribly consistent off the tee.  So keeping it smooth is a good swing thought for me.  My driver AOA is generally between 1 and 2 degrees.  Launch between 10 to 13.

I would suspect the S flex will be too soft. The TB brochure says the TB is smoother and higher launching than BF which may not jell well with a 105+ mph swing especially if it’s not tipped some.

Yes it would play too soft without tipping.  I have a client who's a freshman in high school and his ss is right at around 110.  He plays a TB in S flex but it's tipped 1.5 inches.  He could play X but prefers the feel of a softer shaft.  To each their own.

I did test one just last week with my SIM Max head.  Think of it like Graphite Design TP line with a touch less spin.  It wasn't good enough numbers wise on flight scope to kick the Ventus black 7x I currently game, but it convinced my cousin who tagged along with me to get one on the spot.  He was gaming an OG UST VTS silver 6sx so he was long overdue anyway.

Did you hit this alongside the TP? Or what is your experience level with the TP?

I've gamed the TP for years now and like it but always could use slightly less spin and more launch....this shaft intrigued me from the beginning but your comment even more so. Might be worth trying out.

Just picked up a TSi3 9.0 head, going to get either a TB or Ventus to complement it. Anyone have experience with this shaft and Ventus Blue, thoughts on feel/performance differences?

Only hit 1 shot but was butter smooth. I'll be getting in the course sometime soon to give some more feedback but this shaft is the real deal.

I have one that is an X tipped 1” and it’s too soft for me. It is smooth and one of the better feeling “Bluebeards” but don’t be afraid of the flex. I’m in the 116-118 on the GCQUAD and more of a medium load guy. I’m bummed cause I like it I just needed to go TX.

Thanks

love to know if the S is too weak for that 107-109 inside

That is an X flex speed, no?

I’m exactly that speed with driver and always go tipped S since we typically tee off when it’s cold early in the am and takes a while to get up to launch monitor warmed up speed. I have played X and always go back to S tipped either 1/2” or 1” based on profile and head weight.
