That performance is being driven by the conditions. He's not the only guy struggling with it. He's just in a featured group so you see more of it. The flubbed chip is a result of the baked out greens and the resultant minimal margin for error. I don't think these conditions are really fair to judge anyone's form. Having said that anybody who wants to argue that Finau should have more than the one win with his talent won't get any pushback from me.

Finau is making horrible decisions all over the course....he is "talented" but cant close a door....

 

im glad the course is so unforgiving....i hate watching all the tourneys where the conditions are so soft and geared towards -20 scores......i want the course to eat up the players and only the real strong survive for the week.....

Wind is very high....i expect Rahm will make a couple of mistakes coming in, but 7 shots is just too much to make up....

So last week on the same course in a nondescript fill in tourney we had a pretty compelling playoff when conditions were kept tough but fair. This week we have a snoozefest Sunday and you prefer that. Got it. We can agree to disagree and that's fine but I preferred last week's finish personally. But Jack got the conditions he wants for The Memorial.

Plenty of others shot 78+ today. Don't know why not grinding it out is a reflection of your character particularly when there are no spectators on the course and you're out of contention.

Without spectators, who cares about the players who can't win. It's like watching the third place medal in a soccer tournament!

John Rahm will complete his inevitable march to world #1 today.

Easily the best player the world. When he's on, nobody can live with him. He's a really top guy too. If you haven't seen his round with Youtube golfer Brodie Smith - well worth a watch.

Reminds me of Woods the way he handles front running. Ruthless.

Brilliant again today - I reckon he is going to stay #1 for a long time. I am glad he's taking it from Rory, much as I like McIlroy, he's one dimensional and doesn't really represent what the #1 golfer in the world should be about. Just my opinion.
