Shaft Question for Vokey SM8's

Recommended Posts

So I've been using SM7's with DG Tour Issue S400's. My iron shafts are KBS $ Tapers in X Flex. I have 3 $ Taper wedge shafts in S Flex and thinking about putting these in new SM8's. Has anyone used the same shaft in their irons and wedges? Anyone specifically use $ Tapers in wedges?

Probably a little of both, but going back to the S400's felt like coming back to a tried and true shaft that was welcoming me back.

Typically I’ve seen most people play the same shaft in their gap wedge that they have in their irons (mostly a full swing club) and then something a little softer and heavier in their other wedges. I

I had $ Taper in my Mizuno wedges in stiff flex and XS in my irons. didn't really feel any difference between the 2.

Do you feel your wedge play was because of the shafts or a swing issue?

Typically I’ve seen most people play the same shaft in their gap wedge that they have in their irons (mostly a full swing club) and then something a little softer and heavier in their other wedges. I used to do that but have since gone to the same shafts (Modus 120x) in everything and I’m a fan.
