Unfortunately, I only get to stare at these beauties for the next two to three weeks!   Barely getting over recovery from surgery and flared up tendinitis preventing me from swinging them! ?13890436-ACA6-4EB8-8F74-F299D07B172E.jpeg.aacc973571210855ec4cdada86c711e3.jpeg

great work, unfortunately in Europe is not really a  customer service or even a online shop in place!?

If you do not have a sales rep or custom TM fitting day you can not really order or even pre-order....

Try https://www.snaintongolf.co.uk/ John and his team are the best (probably in whole Europe)...

Now I see everyone saying that the P770s are back-ordered.....I placed a pre-order last week and have not gotten any notification that they are. Outside of ordering through a 3rd party, what kind of notifications has everyone got about this?  I have only gotten my order confirmation and confirmation from ShopRunner. Any info would be great, thanks guys

I hit the 770 today and i am not so impressed...

The feel is still not as good as my 760 which is my main concern.

Topline and offset is ok for my as well as the lofts. Gained 12 yards on avg. ss of 89.

I will probably keep my 760 / TW combo

The 770 was not meant to replace the 760...the P7MC is the 760 replacement. you compared the wrong clubs

The 770s are the replacement for the 760s, 7MCs replaced the 750s and the 7MBs replaced the 730s @TaylorMade Golf

I dont think that the 760s have a true replacement in this line. It would be a mix of the 770s and the MCs in my mind. I don't look at the 770s as being the same club as the 760s.

The 760s were somewhat of a combo set. Foam filled long irons and solid body scoring irons. If you wanted to truly replicate that set make up. I think the process would be to combo the 770s and MC.

The 760s were a great club. Nothing wrong with sticking with them for a bit longer. But, I do agree, if you wanted something with more a of forged feel. The 77s are not it. I did not think those had that forged soft feel. The performance is amazing, as is the looks. But if you are looking for feel. Look else where.

I'm just going by what my TM rep said and it was what I wrote earlier.  I was never talking about how the club's feel.

Sure I get that, I just do not see them as really being that comparable. From a design, targeted player,  playability factor etc. I don't see them being the same.

Again, if you are happy, stick with what you got. The 760s are a great set. Not my fav but they were/are good.

Hey all, I know you're frustrated with delivery dates on the new irons, but golf was closed at the time we placed orders for the first wave of these products and as soon as golf opened again and we started to get feedback / orders on these new irons in July, we ramped up production.

So what you're seeing being delivered in September is the first wave with the second wave coming in October. I'm sure you all work in businesses where forecasting and planning against future demand is a challenge, throw in a global pandemic and things get a little more interesting.

We're doing the best we can. We're delighted that these irons have been so well received and we appreciate your patience. Demand is outstripping supply right now...and our athletes winning 50% of the PGA TOUR events since the re-start is not helping either. ?

We're on it, we're optimistic about the future and thanks for choosing our brand.

You don't have to explain to any of us. We all get it.....we just don't have to like it. On the positive note, in this day and age having a supply shortage due to extremely high demand isn't really a bad thing, is it? As an employer, I'm grateful that I'm in a similar situation, but I'm thankful most for being able to keep my workforce feeding their families. Keep us posted.

If you're saying this because of wait times, Titleist isn't doing any better. I ordered some t100 back in May. Were still backordered when these came out, so I canceled and ordered a set of 7mc.

Do you mind sharing a few address pics. Mine are still scheduled to ship on the 4th so wave a little longer to wait.

I think a direct replacement would be a combo set (770/MC) However I compared a i7 which is also “filled”... And in my opinion that is a valid comparison.

I did two years ago a combo set of 790 i2 760 i4 to 7 and 730 8-Pw which i replaced later by 7TW. For me sometimes it is or feels like two much different clubs from chunky 790 to P7TW.

But as I am playing currently the best golf of my live I am happy anyway.

I was and I am still very curious because I love the direction @TaylorMade Golf is going with a compact head and “modern traditional lofts” the offset is also fine and the design of the club is on point.

Just a pity that it seems to be that the european market is not attractive for TM...

I am a long time Titleist user.  I ordered a set of 770's to compliment my set of T100's.  I have to admit, I am very impressed with the transparency from TM on shipping dates.  It is good to see someone from TM post on this thread with updates and reasons for extended ship dates. When I ordered my T100's, I couldn't even get a response.  I never got updates or even a made up guess what was going on with my order.  So far, TM has earned my business.

My order from DD for a DHY said shipping three weeks....will be here Thursday....8 days total!

Bottom line...yours will likely be in your hands sooner than you think.

I hope mine isn't the opposite...est ship 9/4...does DD usually release the order ahead of the release date. I know other stores do, but not sure about DD.

Well well well, I placed the order with my Pro on 12th August as they were allowed to place them 2 days prior to the Pre-order. Order was emailed to Rep and wasn't actioned! I made a small adjustment to the order on 14th August which again was emailed to the Rep. My Pro got notified that his orders have been processed on 17th Aug but upon tracking the order, the adjustment had not been made and it was only a standard set of P770 4-PW processed. After multiple phone calls and emails, a week later and nothing had changed. In between times, the email came out about the shortage in Europe and most orders would not be ready until end of Nov.

Upon further checking on Monday, my order was still the same and now showing as delivery 11th December and advised if the change was made now then it would be put to the back of the queue! Enough was enough, he phoned the Regional Area Manager here to see what was going on. He is former European Tour player and been a TM Ambassador for years so he has a bit of clout. The Regional Manager looked into and apologised for the oversight, cancelled my original order, processed the correct order and bumped it up the queue as a processed date of 14th August. He advised they might not make the release date but would definitely be here in September so guess time will tell but at least the effort was made to get it sorted...

To be honest, TM’s engagement, enthusiasm and transparency here has made a really big impact on my perception of the brand. For a while the garish graphics and frequent releases had put me off the brand, but with this new iron release I’m starting to move back to them.

Ordered both the TW wedges and a 770 3i with the MMT shaft to try out as a DI / long iron replacement. The transparency of how the components are being collected, assembled, packed and shipped has helped me stay patient. Not sure it is 100% replicating the actual production process of the clubs, but that progress of the tracking bar has worked.

And if the 770 3i works, then a full set is on the cards for next year.

I just went for a fitting and as someone who is currently playing the p760, i agree. I dont see either line as a replacement to move into. I dont see why Taylormade would discontinue the p760. I found the p7mc to be too demanding in the long irons, and the p770 to be too large towards the short irons. I did love the p770 long irons, and have always wanted to use the p790 long irons with my p760 but the yardage gapping never fit. I ordered the p770 in the 3-4 iron. That was my take away from the fitting. I think Taylormade should have kept the p760 and offered the new clubs along side it. Similarly to how Taylormade should have never discontinued the p750 at the p760 launch. The iron lines seem to fit two different groups of players

Any sweepers hit the 770 yet. I have 0211's which i am perfectly content with but the slot on the bottom has me thinking about these. My miss is always thin with full shots, just curious if it does anything for this.
