Agreed- curious, do you have a good divot or more of a sweeper? I am the latter, so wonder if that plays into thin soled irons forgiveness.

Small divots. AOA is usually around 2 down.

Quick update...we're still doing everything we can to a) cover the demand for these products and b) provide as accurate as possible delivery dates. When we have a macro environment playing havoc with the demand/supply chain, we're not going to be perfect. Golf is bouncing back well and nobody could have predicted when and how it would have bounced back. July was the highest month of golf equipment sales in over 20 years, yet 3 mths before that golf courses and retail stores were closed. It's a crazy year no doubt.

We're doing the best we can in the current conditions. We're also seeing lots of orders placed incorrectly by retailers (RH ordered instead of LH, wrong models in combo sets, etc). So please double check your order with your retailer, even ask for a receipt of the order. Of course, if we make a mistake we'll fix it. If you have an issue, please call/email customer service as they are best equipped to help.

Thanks and appreciate your patience.

Appreciate you coming on here and passing info. Is there any chance we get our clubs before the expected ship date or is that pretty much best case scenario? Btw my expected ship date is 11-4 for p770 irons.

For those noting recent delivery on your P770, P7MC, P7MB clubs, it would be appreciated if you would mention order/delivery dates.

I ordered P770 (via DD) on 8/17, first shipping date quoted as 9/4, now updated to "end of September" due to current unavailability of heads.

@TaylorMade Golf help all of us understand how this is surprise and couldn’t have been planned for better. You have still not filled pre-order irons. Saying that your supply is effected by a secondary condition is understandable but during your pre-order window you should have started to see the demand And potentially understood there might be a supply issue. If that was the case there was never any attempt to communicate with retailers, purchasers about a potential supply issue. Instead the orders continued and people like myself who thought they were getting ahead of the game by pre-ordering are still stuck wondering when their clubs (which we have already paid for) are coming. For me the clubs are fantastic but the communication is terrible. Consumers are understanding when informed, when not informed they become irritated and annoyed. For example calling out errors by retailers on orders is great but where is the accountable for @TaylorMade Golf for a lack of transparency and communication during this launch.

I am debating on selling my p770/mc combo at this point. Played a member guest and played my other irons and struck them a lot better than my combo set despite being labeled as less forgiving. I will say the sim udi 2 and sim dhy 4 were huge factors to score today. Had some layup dogleg par 4s and the two clubs were point and shoot after putting a tensei pro blue 80tx in the dhy. Might throw a mmt into the udi

Check again with DDs.  I ordered on 8/17 from DDs as well.  I checked after a week and was told “Late September”.  I just checked in yesterday and was told “Mid October”.  I expect it to be “sometime in November” the next time I check in.  I was given the option to cancel, which I may do. I’m going to try to get to a golf store this weekend and check out the T100S, JPX 921 forged, and a few others.  I feel bad for the retailers having to deal with TM’s incompetent “preorder”.   TM went way over promise and way under deliver, instead of under promise and over deliver.

@Hookasaurus Rex , I posted above regarding "late September shipping date" for P770s just after a phone conversation with Adam at DD; he didn't say that the expected shipping date was pushed further to mid-October.

I then mentioned to him that if the delay from the original shipping date was due to unavailability of the Nippon 950 Neo, that I would accept the 950 GH as a substitute (if that would speed delivery). He then said that head unavailability was the problem, not unavailability of the 950 Neo.

Still need to see the MC’s in person. I have seen the MB’s and they look great.

The MC's are great looking.  Being in the "older" category, I grew up with blades, so the top line of these is a little thicker looking than I'm used to.  Everyone I've been paired with in the last week and a bit has been very complimentary of how they look

Ya the MC look much better looking down than the 770 if you like smaller head sizes. I have a set but the box but am debating pulling them out. The 770 are good but man do they get eaten up by wind because they go high

I really want to order a weak 3 iron in the 770 to sit between my 5 iron and 5 wood.

Played my 9/Pw with ctaper 120 and not liking the combo and forgiveness. In addition, like others on here, original order date 8/27 was told mid October which seemed already way too late for me but I hoped it was a over estimate.
Then heard early this week that it has been pushed to end of November.
I ordered a set of New Level 902 irons with custom lofts and lie and no grips and even with the grips off, the swing weights when I gripped them was spot on at d1-d2. Very different than the d7/d8 I got with the TM clubs with grips off. In addition, the irons from New level were built within a day and shipped out. Spec sheets in the box. That is the kind of service I would expect from any club manufacturer in this day and age. To be able to get swingweights correct even ungripped. A bonus is the new level feel great.
I will be cancelling the rest of my order from TM and selling the 9/pw MC if someone is interested. Maybe when they are actually available in stock might revisit. Don’t need new clubs in November when the season is over here.

Enjoy your new level irons. He does nowhere near the business that TaylorMade does hence his turnaround time.

all of you guys complaining about your pre-orders really need to stop.

The clubs have far exceeded their expectations in sales, and no matter what happens when you have a successful launch, there are always inventory issues with any new product. Look at all the iPhone launches as an example.

Combine that with COVID and staffing and sourcing challenges, you guys are lucky you’re even seeing new irons.

Pre-order doesn’t guarantee you’ll receive them in a timely fashion, even if the OEM quotes it. In this case @TaylorMadeGolf is making people whole by offering balls, and other means to ensure their customer experience is positive....at least they’re actually on here....I know if I was a Ping, Titleist, Callaway or even Vosh, I would sure avoid you guys given how you are acting with this launch.

If you don’t like it, cancel and move on or wait for their backlog to catch up.

ordered a set of MP20’s in March for my mate in Boston, and they didn’t get their until June - it’s not just a TM issue gents.

I wouldn't be so quick to give TM a pass on this one.  They have access to a lot of info and know full well the supplier issues.  They actually could learn from Apple about launches.  The iPhone launches have gone quite well for years.

TM bungled it with too close of a window from pre-order to launch.  But it will all sort itself out.  The range is a great design, solid offerings, and TM lucky to have passionate fans.

Just saw these in person. The shop had all three full sets on the rack of 770, MC and Blade. I'm sure the fact that a store has all three sets in stock form will be kind of annoying to anyone waiting on a pre-order. It would annoy me. However, in Taylormade's defense, they may have picked up another potential purchase (from me) by having them in the shop first. These things looks fantastic. The MC has a nice luster to the face finish, kind of like blueprints. I'm thinking MC in 7-PW and 770 in 5 and 6 irons. I don't need new irons and the only reason I can really justify it is that the soles are thinner than what I've currently got.. The black T100's also looked fantastic. This is going to be a tough year to own just one set of irons.

I know exactly how this works. I am understanding but what I am asking for is communication. When my clubs and many others were pre-ordered the deliver date was 9/4. Now there is no communication or date for delivery. The supply problem existed when these went up for preorder so my question is do you think it is fair for a company to communicate about shortages and manufacturing issues. When these went up for pre-order i am sure that Taylormade new their quantities and as they watched the orders come in they should have realized they would be short supply. Instead of getting ahead of it and communicating they choose to do nothing.

im in the same boat as most of you. ordered mine on 8/21 and have no update yet. called golfgalaxy who i ordered thru looking for a status update and they were very little help. tried two different order numebrs on golf galaxy website and shows up with nothing. they told me to call taylormade so i did and they said they cant give me any info cause i am not the account holder. (golf galaxy must be the actual account holder) so meanwhile im out my 1500 bucks waiting on clubs with no clue when i will see them as the season in MN is slowly coming to a end... i guess ill keep waiting.

They liked them, but basically cautioned that they are for Scratch or better players.  Said you need to be damn good ball striker for them.

Yea, I saw that review. Then when I went to get fitted for T100's, I asked for a shot of the Taylormades, expecting P770. Fitter handed me MC based on how I had been hitting the T100. I hit these even better than the Titliest and any concern I had about not being good enough was quickly dispelled and I ordered them there and then. Still to receive my set right enough, got a phone call last week saying they are due on the 21st.

Interestingly, if you watch Rick Shields review he thought these could be played right up to low double digit handicappers which didn't really tie with the TXG review.
