Still waiting for the P770 arrive despite my order being processed in August.

After a few rounds with my P-770 / P-7MC combo, I think I am going to stick with my T100 irons. I just don't love the feel of the 770's and haven't noticed them being more forgiving than the T100's. Not to mention, the T100's look much better at address with the thin top line. I would definitely give the nod to the P-7MC over the T100's in the feel category but again, at address the T100 just looks better to me.

Wow, that is stunning. Can I ask who you ordered them through? I'm hearing the 2nd week of December on my order through Golf Galaxy. I'm sure that's just a ballpark date from Taylormade though.

 

I ended up taking my Mizuno T-Zoid Pro's out of mothballs and hit them well enough that I debated cancelling my order....just kidding!

I don’t blame you. T100 are sweet.  I tested all of these.  I originally pre-ordered the 770 on 8/16- 2nd business day of the preorder- and was originally quoted a delivery of 9/4.  I was going to combo them with my 790 4-5i.  I checked in on 9/15 and was told “end of October sometime.” I ended up hitting some clubs head to head again and really liked the feel and performance of T100S, so I cancelled my 770 and ordered my T100 on 9/24 and got them 10 days later (although I’m still waiting on the W)- Specs perfect.  I did keep my 790 4 iron- perfect 4/Driving iron @21*.... I feel like the T100 are plenty forgiving as well.

I ordered mine on 9/15 and have an estimated delivery date of 12/2. I got them from a golf shop close by but haven’t called to get an update lately. Hopefully it didn’t get pushed back.

Placed my order for p7mc 8/27 and got 9/P early September but rest of set delayed until 11/15. On a whim I went to Dicks sporting goods website and placed an order last Friday for p770 stock stiff and to my surprise got a set shipped from MA to me arrived on Tuesday! So far I am not sure I want to hit them hoping my p7mc set comes in soon before the window of returning these to Dicks unused. I am so tempted as they look great, small compact and shaft feels good to swing. 
I did not like the 770 during demo day but might have been the fact it was a fitting head which I presume doesn’t feel as good compared to a glued head. In addition we were using range balls. I wonder if the stock shaft with softer tp5 balls would feel better. For those that have both p7mc and 770, is the sole significantly smaller on the MC? I am a sweeper and cannot play with thicker soles irons.

I ordered on 5th October, 4-7 P790, 8 - AW P770. Was quoted 2nd Week December as likely shipping date, which I expected (UK).

 

My belief is they will actually arrive 2nd Week January.

 

I said I was ok to receive the 790's first, to which the TM fitter said there's also a supply issue from Nippon on the shafts I was fitted in to - the Modus 120. He stated we could end up waiting for the shafts more so than the heads.

Ordered the irons through the official channels of my local club professional who where notified by TM several days later that stocks were struggling to cover pre-orders and to expect a delay up to Mid-Nov'. 

Also made another order on top of the initial order for a SIM hybrid and custom gap wedge which also had a little delay of several weeks, the gap wedge arrived a couple of weeks ago.

 

It would be nice if TM handed out some kind of token gesture for the folks who have hung in there for so long.😏

Check out the soles on the P7MCs. I am a little worried about being able to hit these. 🙂
The 4, 5, 6 iron are TINY!   And I have a 3 iron coming!

Yep, i had that exact same fear when mine arrived. I held the 4 iron up against my 08 AP2. Its dwarfed by the titleist sole.

 

To be fair, 6 iron still goes up well. Im thinking though of getting 4&5 in p770. I can actually get good distance on the 4&5 but the ball doesnt get the lift i would like. Much more of a low flight.

From Canada - ordered my P770s August 28, they arrived yesterday 🤩.  Was considering cancelling the order and going with a combo PMCs in the short irons.  Glad a I didn't, short irons are an acceptable size IMO.  Rounds scheduled today, tomorrow and Monday to test these on course.

I was able to source a set of MC's for my son.  I think I will take one of the irons out to test today before we cut and fit him.  These things are just perfect to the eye.  They don't look overly demanding to hit, but I'm also used to looking at a blade.

Does anyone previously had experience with Mizuno HMB? How forgiving is the P770 compares to it.

Woo-hoo, finally came in today! They look amazing. I thought there would be a noticeable difference in top line and sole compared to my Mizuno JPX 850 Forged but not at all. Can't wait to take these out in a few days! Hopefully they don't disappoint. If they do, I may unload next summer and go for the next gen P790 (assuming they're released). 

 

Here are a few pics comparing the head sizes. These are 4, 7, and PW. The soles aren't all that much different but I just realized how much smaller the P770 faces are, especially the PW (taken on the seat cushion). Hope this doesn't end up being a problem lol.

Ordered P7MC custom through TM website on 8/22 and email showing shipping date of 11/11. Baby coming this week or next so not going to be putting them to much use by the time I get them. Got a free dozen TP5x an $25 gift card from TM so far so maybe they'll delay it more and send me more stuff.

So where's everyone getting the $25 GC from? Just auto loaded to your account? I had a friend order mine so I don't have visibility into the account but I did receive a box of balls randomly in the mail.
