Yes that’s what I was referring to. Good price on the 2016 model too. I haven’t noticed any big improvements in the new model.

IIRC, walmart has them in my local store for $25/doz

Edit- these...

The Walmart Srixon Z-star deal was still live for me yesterday.  $25/doz for Z-stars is pretty nice.  Shipping was free - but I paid tax.

These are two generations old.

Well -- I just got them.  And they are not covered in mold, seem round, fly straight and long when I hit them, and will still fit in the hole.  So I think they are perfectly fine for someone not playing the game for a living.

Also -- I received boxes of Z-star XVs (which I prefer) so your YMMV on which actual Z-star you get.

There's no significant differences between current models and 2 generations ago.  At $25 for Z Stars you can't go wrong, great ball.  Personally I would have to return XVs if I ordered regular Z Stars as I like the softer feel, but bonus that you prefer the XV.

I actually like both Z-stars.  I am not really good enough to tell much of a difference.  But I use the non-XV when the courses are soft or wet, and when the wind is up since the non-XV spins less.  But I mentally -- like the extra ball speed gained by XV (higher compression) if it is dry and firm on the fairway (I live in AZ -- so that is most of the time).

Just to keep the convo going.  I keep going back to Walmart and reupping on the $25/dz deal I referenced above.  My last two orders have been Z-Star (non-XV), and were new (old stock), round and mold free.  So the Srixon deal is still alive - and I think the best out there right now for a urethane tour ball.

I cleaned the shelves at a few local Walmarts earlier this fall - 5 dz total Srixon Z Star and XV (4 dz XV, 1 Z Star) but unfortunately they're all out now and unable to order online.

Just found 3 dz. Z Star 2021 for $95 at the bay.  You can search yourself there.   Seller has some good priced Chrome Softs as well.

And lastly, ordered three dz Mizuno Tour balls from RockBottomGolf for $75.  Haven't played those yet but the price seems good for a Urethane ball test.

I'm not seeing it, budgetgolf.com?  QST is my ball, would be all over this.

Sorry about that. Guess I better learn how to read. 😣

Probably still a good deal.  QST at 3/$50 would be great though.  I got them for that price back when they had the 6 ball performance packs on clearance.

I've been looking at those Mizzy balls.  Have mixed reviews but for the price hard to pass.  Another sight had the. As a mid swing speed ball.  Always skeptical on reviews being biased, especially with the big ball companies.  Any one have first hand experience?

After looking at the MGS review and number of off center cores they found - I was out on the Mizzy balls.  For $6 more - I did the Maxfli Tour X which get exemplary reviews from the same source.  I don’t know anyone except MGS that does the same level of rigorous analysis.

The defects concerned me as well.  Maxfli got a great review from TGX (I thing that is the group).  Love the Tour B but not sure I want to pay that.
