How do you 'imagine' forum members?

I am not sure where this thread is going, but I tend to have a mental image of many of the regular (and irregular) forum members. I am sure the image does not match in most cases.

Am I other only one?

No, for example, I imagine you looking like Judge Smails from Caddyshack, and that can't possibly be the case. :-)

I kind of do though. My daughter saw me posting the other day and mentioned that my avatar used to be ironic and now it is more representative.

I think in a forum since you can't see the person, but can read what they post, you can get a better sense of their character rather than what they actually look like. I am sure any "physical" guesses I make, would be off the mark.

about 10 years ago i weighed 220lbs and people told me i looked like Seth Rogen

Now i lost a lot of weight , and hair.....And am 180lbs and have been told i look like Jason Statham

I always imagine you without french accent and anglophone but wearing a buff when you golf. Somehow I have you about 6'2 and lanky. Given the name (Jeff) I aways suspected you to be 42-48 as the name was very popular those years and fell out fashion after that.

39 and 6 foot 180. I did look like Seth Rogen when i was fatter.

Strangely i do see the Statham comparison a bit. I'm like a 20% uglier Statham.

I only say this because i've gotten it like 4-5 times whenever there's some lookalike discussion. I used to always get Rogen now i get Statham.

Haha, when we met in Cali i was a bit too skinny....i put on like 15lbs since then so it makes a bit more sense now

In SD i looked like Statham if he had an eating disorder

Hair long (partial sunblock), hat/head/shirt soaked with water twice during a 2-hour practice, 100° today. Pond for sure.

"Imagining" others on the forum? I do it through the use of language. Apart from avatars, GIFs, vids, etc., words suffice. There are many excellent "writers" here. Makes me think they stand steely before a big shot. Imagine also, that I'd like to share a round.

I think I've seen a video of your swing you posted once (maybe hitting inside a giant dome?), and I can understand the Jason Statham comparison.

I'm not saying you swing like Jason Statham, but now you mention it, you did look a bit like him in that video.

I have no idea. I had an old avatar that was me at my companies golf tournament wearing knickers. My step son thinks I look like Jason Mamoa, the wife agrees. I agree if Mamoa had a thyroid issue, was balding, with a gray beard, and gained about 45 pounds of fat. I have absolutely no junk in the trunk which my wife says is a similar issue that Mamoa has. 6'1" and 240 pounds with a 38 inch waist is not Mamoa territory.

I think you're all 13 yo "social influencers" getting your jollies by killing my golf game 'cause I over analyze my swing after reading all these instruction threads with contradicting suggestions.

I look like the worlds oldest 39 yo. I took that title from Cal Jr since he aged into his look after his retirement. Of course its been a few years since my 39th birthday but I' not adding those fake years to the total just because I don't want to.

The crazy thing is, i really sound like Seth Rogen too. So like i said, when i was fat, i used to get the Rogen stuff all the time. My sister refused to watch "knocked up" because the s*x scenes grossed her out. I did a lookalike contest at work a while ago and was one of the 5-6 people picked company wide (out of like 3000 people) because of how much i looked like Rogen

So i will take Statham now , even a poor man's Statham.....literally any day of the week!

It's way better to never fill in the visual. I've dealt with too many people over the phone for years and then met them. The mental image never lives up to the real thing. At least with women.

This is as close as I was going to get to getting in. $1895 US for 1 hour (and I think pre-flight is about 45 minutes) Maybe if I find out I've got 6 months to live and I need to blow a lot of cash, I'd sign up and book a couple of hours.
