Alternative to Ping Tour 90 Hybrid Shaft

Hi there,

after a lot of search on many Websites, i came here and hope that anybody has an idea.

I had a Ping G Series 3 Hybrid (19 Degree loft) with an Ping Tour 90 Shaft in stiff flex, which works absolutely great. Now i have to change, because the head is broken.

I have tried many hybrids with even more different shafts, but nothing that felt as good as the combination of my old hybrid.

Which shaft would you recommend to try with the new G410 Hybrid in terms of feel and trajectory?

Why not just put that old shaft in the new head?

IMO the re-released UST iRod is pretty darn close to that Tour shaft.

Tour 85 in the g410 is the exact same shaft with new graphics. I asked the same question to Ping and this is what they said. I quote " As far as the Tour 85 vs the Tour 90, they are the same shaft. We renamed the Tour 90 to the Tour 85 as it was closer to an 85 gram weight range for he 3 flexes that are offered."

I have a G 4 hybrid with the Tour 90 and this Spring bought a 3 and 5 in the G410 with the tour shaft. I can not see or feel any difference in them.

Hi there,

as I now got a swing weight scale, I found out that the Ping G410 3 Hybrid with the Ping Tour 85 in Stiff Flex is only C3,5 while my Ping G 22 Degree Hybrid with the Ping Tour 90 stiff shaft is D 3,5.

It felt so different and I was not able to swing the new Hybrid nearly as good and consistent as my older one. Now I know....

I'm going to add some lead tape to the G410 to get the swing weight up.
