how to remove the ink in the lettering?

hi, does anyone know how to safely remove the paint/ink from the lettering on a set of titleist 680's? i read that u can use some gel stuff but a lil worried bout the chrome finish coming off. thanks

a little time consuming but you can dig it out with a needle or paper clip so you don't use any solvent on them just be carefull you don't scratch the clubs but if you take your time works well.........

Acetone and a toothbrush should do the trick nicely!!

Hi! I just did the same to my 680's and it was SOOOO easy. Go to Walmart in the automotive section and buy this spray can called AUTO STRIP. Spray it on and wait 15 mins and it'll ALL come off. No need to worry about the chrome.

Go to the hardware store and get a can of paint remover gel. apply with a Q tip let sit in a utility sink - then I run water scrubing the area with a tooth brush.

 

I have done two sets of Z101' an a set of MP-37's with no adverse effects to the chrome.

 

Takes like 15 minutes.

 

Do not get any paint remover on the ferrule or grips.
