I've played i20s, i200s (which were v good) and i500s in the past 3-4 years, but my iron play is the best it has ever been with the iBlades. Love everything about them - looks, feel, ball flight.

Mizuno MP-20 MMC 4-PW. First set ever with c tapers and they are unhookable. I hit pulls or pushes if I miss, extremely hard to curve more than baby fades or draws.

Driver - AI Smoke Triple Diamond, Tensei 1k Blue 6tx

3 Wood - Callaway AI Smoke Max, Tensei AV Blue 75x

2 Iron - Titleist U505, Graphite Design AD-DI 8x

Played MP29s for 2 decades before finally refreshing to a set of JPX 900 Tours. I can't visibly tell if there's really any forgiveness difference; a bad swing is a bad swing, and poor contact is poor contact. But when I pure the new guys they feel just as soft as the 29s but they sound purer/hotter if that makes sense? Difference is negligible is what i'm saying... perhaps I need to go full tech on my next set to really compare apples to oranges.

Callaway Mavrik SZ 9 deg  / Fujikura Ventus Black Velocore 6x

Callaway Rogue ST LS 3 wood (15 deg) / Mitsubishi Tensei 1K Blue 7x

PING G425 Hybrid 19.5 deg / Fujikura Ventus Blue HB 8s (tipped 1/2)

Mizuno JPX 900 Tours 4-PW / KBS C-Taper 120 Stiff

Titleist SM5 50,54,60 / KBS 610 Stiff

Taylor Made Spider X Chalk

I have had Wilson V6 in the bag for just over a year.

In the fitting it came down to the V6's and TM P760's and there wasnt much between them in performance, but the TM's were approx £400 more expensive.

I have replaced the V6 4 iron with a D7 Forged 5 iron (4i length, but the loft is the same as the V6 4i) which is a much easier club to hit - I think Im sold on combo sets now

I actually have two sets of Mizuno irons and one set of Cobra irons that I rotate in my bag. I played nothing but Cobra from 1988 to 2009 then I came on here and bought my first set of Mizuno irons.

The forum has influenced me some since joining. Mizuno irons and TEE "Exotics" fairways. Nothing has influenced me away from a Cobra driver. Recently went to the Cobra F9 coming from the ZL Encore.

About 18 yrs ago I was just getting into the game and was looking to buy new irons to replace the hand-me-down Taylormade Bubble irons. Went into a local golf store and met a salesman I became friends with. Told him what I was looking for (new brand name Callaway, Cleveland, etc.). He literally forced me into a set of Mizuno MX 23 irons. I have never looked at another brand since for irons. I am on my 5th set, now playing the JPX 919 Forged.

I have many sets of Mizuno irons, including a new set of MP-20 HMBs.  But what am I currently playing?  A mint set of MX-23 irons (graphite weighted heads) that I rebuilt.  The MX-23 has been helping me consistently shoot my lowest scores ever.  Surprising fact is that they're on the USGA conforming list (groove compliant) considering they were released in 2004.  In my opinion they're a true classic; simple GI design in a fully grain flow forged head.  No gimmicks or other wizardry needed.

Ping Rapture V2s!  I'm a 17 handicap

I'm playing the OG Raptures, great set of irons. Similar handicap to you, I seem to fluctuate around a ~15-18.

At some point I'm sure the gear whore in me will take over and I will want to try something new, but I've held pretty strong in resisting that urge for years now.

I am a high capper who is getting the swing down after 12 + years ... I have been playing G700s for a year and change ... I picked up PXG 0211s just before COVID - have only gottent a little range time and a lot of in-the garage swing training ... still have not taken the PXGs to the course ... maybe in September ...
