Ninety Freaking Two

We all have been there. One round does not make the golfer. As the saying goes, one is judged by how he rises after he falls.

Yesterday I started out pretty good.

Easy two putt birdie on the first hole, and like most everyone here would have thought...we're off!

Yanked my 160 yard approach shot deep into the forest on the second hole and the real fun began.

Subsequent holes consisted of missed greens, skulled chips and 3 putts. (skulled chips!!! 3 of them!!!)

Of course I lost every bet, no skins, no greenies, no Nassau's.

On the plus side, being so far off course, I found about half a dozen shag balls...

Ninety freaking two. (although, if you told me I shot 122 I'd have believed it)

First world problem for sure, the next skins game is Sunday and I'm going lights out!

if you’re going to get spun up when things don’t go your way. Consider a different game.

 

all you can do is:

practice more.

accept the bounce. (And try to overcome)

Sorry, was a bit harsh.
 

All I meant to say is golf, because it’s played outdoors, has a lot of variability. It’s easy to forget because we want to think we’re in control. But the bounces have a big effect on our scores.

Golf is about consistency or inconsistency... pick your poison, it's everyone's future.

Invert that 92 and put up 29 on the front and then a smooth 39 on the back! It's golf, you'll get 'em next time.

oh man, this is me quite often.

 

I feel like I have a pretty good swing, but inconsistency is tragic. I've shot 84,86 on a good day but so many days a few blow up holes and over 90 it is 😞
