My first impression is Spider X looks better. 2021 Spider is looking less and less like a Spider. It looks like Odyssey’s Maxman (or whatever the name is).

I have no inside knowledge. And I’m sure the alignment and necks are configurable via MySpider program.

My thoughts exactly when I saw Trottie post this. If this is really it, then I think I'm going to pick up another Spider X (current model)... lol

I think it looks too busy compared

to the X. I really don’t like the dots and lines in addition to the white. I DO like the FCG style T alignment though... 

 

Im curious what advantages they’re going to say this has over the X. It looks bigger so I’m guessing more stable...

Glad I got a copper X whilst they were on sale now. Don’t like the new one at all.

I guess they don't believe in releasing center shaft versions unless you live in Japan... May have to purchase an old stock tour center shaft on eBay.

I saw that a couple weeks ago but never been a fan of white putters. When Taylormade went through their whole white driver and ghost putter theme, I stuck with an original CS spider putter. I will likely just buy another tour red center shaft to last a few more years lol. Thank you though for sending that link.

That headcover does look awesome though.

It appears a though TM has possibly finally gotten rid of the painted sole! I’m sure we all know how bad those were on previous Spiders. I’m definitely happy about that. Although Trottie does refer to the putter as a “prototype”... I guess we’ll find out soon enough.

Why is the 2020 Spider Tour Black much cheaper? Steel shaft vs the black one?

I wish that Spider SR, had a more sawed off finish like the Futura X5...  Easy why it isn't with those weights back there.  Gonna have to give it a try anyway, looks good.

Anyone rolled the single bend vs the center shaft versions? Does the center shaft come with the same headcover? Does it fit correctly?

+1. I really like how the SR has more meat behind the sweet spot, it is like a mid mallet x7. As an owner of the OG Spider Black Tour and Spider X Copper, I am really looking forward to trying this model. The new EX does nothing for me.

I am not seeing a center shaft version yet. My CS tour red is my gamer. I guess I prefer the softer black insert version of the red vs the black tour with the gray insert.
