I would have to say Gary Woodland's putt on 18 to seal the US Open, you could tell it was vindication with the look on his face.

Driving back from the Masters Par 3 tournament, the year sergio won. In a rental car, drove through a hail storm and two tornado warnings. Was literally waiting on a cow to fly past the car. One friend in the back seat asleep the other in the front laughing as I dogged tree limbs in the road.

Oddly, it was Louis Oosthuizen’s double eagle in the 2012 Masters. Watching unlikely guys make improbable shots to compete on the biggest stages is what makes golf so fun to watch.

 

It was just as improbable as me breaking 90 yesterday, but it happened!

My most memorable experience was when I got to attend the 2013 Masters and see Arnie, Jack, and Gary play in the par 3 contest. It was the experience of a lifetime to see 3 legends all in the same place, especially given that the following year was the last Arnie played in the par 3.

Phil winning his first major in 2004, I was 11 still remember it like yesterday!

So many memories to choose from, but it has to the 86 Masters. It was my senior year of high school. I remember watching most of that tournament with my dad, but the Sunday round has always been my favorite memory. My Dad and I were both huge Nicklaus fans (one of the few things we agreed on). Watching the Golden Bear roar and win the Masters was amazing!!

Tom Watson's final drive in the 2009 British Open Championship... it was perfect, leaving him just 9 iron and two putts away from the title and, at 59, he would have been the tournament's oldest winner.

Going to the 2018 PGA with my brother. It was Friday's round and we got caught in the downpour that ended the day(for EVERYONE). The SMELL of stinky, wet people getting herded into buses to back to the parking area sticks in my head to this day, along with seeing Amanda Balionis shopping in the merch tent(and not bothering her) earlier in the day. It was a great day to be with my brother and to be at my first PGA tournament - despite the rain!

-Watching Jack in '86 from my parents golf course in Ohio

-May Vs Tiger at Valhalla

-Taking my dad to his only Masters in '14. His health wasn't great so we never got past the range/1st tee/18th green/10 tee. Still a top day in my life.

Seeing 2013 US Open in person at Merion. Had driven 840 miles from Alabama to only come down with a nasty sinus infection couple of days before. Thought I wasn’t going to be able to go but got a bunch of meds and was able to be there. While there for Friday’s round slipped down wet stairs in the grandstand behind 17 and had to goto the medical tent for a bad cut on my arm. After leaving looked like I had been in a fight with a bandaged arm and swollen sinuses from the infection. It was all worth it!

My favorite in person experience would probably be 2016 US Open, being on the 18th tee watching DJ get his first major and then getting a picture in the famous church pews bunker on the way out!
