Pitetti “The Goat” putter did not have the site dot from what I recall. Not sure why they decided not to add that?

Yes, but at say 2, 3, shoot even 4 to 5k I'm sure there is a wealth of clients willing to lineup for a true custom fit and input into what you would like to a certain extent. Sigh, lol.

Either way, looking forward to see how the backup does this week for Tiger, hope the added practice allows him to drop a few extra putts!

Just came here to say this 100%. I'll never buy a Scotty when I can go to a custom shop like Carbon and get essentially the same putter for a few more bucks with the top flange site line or a dot, with the same face milling and everything that Scotty does, minus his silly name on it (plus in cool finishes to boot). I haaaate the flange line as a front eye dominant putter and barely any retail putters offer anything different. Juno from TM was the last one I remember for us lefties, but that felt like a brick off the face.

There are some other companies that offer that shape head with the ability to customize. Carbon was mentioned, Kingston Putters, Strokes Gained, Brandon Matthews are some others.

By custom I don’t mean MOTO putters either. You could request tour heads such as 009 with stampings of your choice. The problem was exactly as you stated. There were too many orders going in. It became a who’s who for orders to be accepted. At the end of the day, it is much more profitable to pump them out through the Gallery and selling out vs. making a custom stamped putter to a buyer’s wish and dealing with changes and updates for said client.

Well said bud, too many collectors with very very deep pockets. Still would be nice to offer it at the Gallery that way they know going into a year the max amount potentially for a "Gallery" built putter per say.

Yeah, I’m not talking about offering custom services at all. I’m talking about mass producing a replica of arguably the most famous club in the history of golf, but certainly of the last 20 years. There has to be a reason they don’t. They’re leaving so much money on the table.

I think they know their numbers and forecast a sight dot will not sell as well as you would think.

They have done models before in limited release(h12, rory,speith, etc). They don't have to mass produce it but guarantee if they made 1500 or so. Sell them for 950+or- they would sell out.

I mean, I get that and I’m not trying to argue, but name one TW related item that didn’t move a bajillion units. They don’t even have to call it the Tiger Woods putter. Just make it similar. They could still have the standard NP2 offering.

I’m having deja vu about shaking my fist at the sky over Vokey’s raw offerings until recently.

As you know product lines are based on forecasted sales. I would love a topline putter myself.

It is also frustrating when he releases a bunch of Phantom X models that are close in design.

If it weren’t for my back I would use a shorter putter. I’m more consistent, especially on the short ones. But I can’t practice for very long periods because it hurts my back and my back is also stiffer at the end of each round I play with a shorter putter. It makes sense that tiger would want something a little longer...
