Someone who likes butter? There are $3000 leather golf bags which would make someone think, 'who'd pay that for a golf bag'?....if you have the cash you can buy about anything.

I know very few people who are interested in Stitch covers, at least at full price. Just a few years ago when you could get a set of their covers for that price, and the quality really hasn't improved. I think most people buy when they have sales.

There is a reason it's $98, because there are people willing to pay that much just to be different... I would never pay that much for a cover..

I haven't bought any Stitch headcovers, but I have made worse drunken Ebay purchases. I do have some Rose & Fire and Sugar Skull headcovers. It's nice to be able to spot my bag easily.

I have about $500+ in head covers in my bag I collected over the last 10 years. Best golf purchases have ever made. They are all full leather so they won't wear out and they are all from some of the bucket list courses I have visited. Every time I see them they bring back some great memories.

It's cheaper than buying a golf club when you want to buy something. That is how I how I have ended up with few (not quite in this price range though).

Making discretionary purchases for hobbies is all relative. The average income in the USA is $62k +/-. At that level you'd have to work for 3 hours to pay for this. However if you make considerably more money, on the magnitude of 10 - 30 more, you would only be committing minutes of your income for this. It's why some people don't think too hard when buying a $13M Bombardier Challenger 350 and to others buying a used Nissan is a major life decision.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with spending YOUR money the way YOU want to spend it. Period. Most people like collecting something; I love TaylorMade's special edition Spider headcovers. To each their own and let them enjoy what they do; it's not hurting anyone else.

I paid $98 for their Mother's Day headcover for my wife, and don't regret it at all.  So many of us have spent thousands on assembling our bags, so what's another few hundred to customize the look?

I just spent that on a Titleist leather FW cover and walked out of the store like I was just sold a used car.  Since then, I have zero cares, I love the cover.  "Smooth as butter" though... errrrrrrr..

I lose at least one headcover a round, I have a store on eBay that I buy from all too often, $15 a pop for leather.
